Mickey Rourke turned up at a screening of "Scream 4" last night (presumably with his shirt unbuttoned to the navel) and told a reporter just how awful his next two releases are. In very simple terms.

Here's Rourke on the first film ("13"), a collaboration with 50 Cent (who seriously can't make a successful movie to save his life): "[It's] a really bad movie, yeah. It's so bad it can't get out."

Why did he make it? "For the money."

Then there's "Passion Play," the dark thriller he made with Megan Fox and Bill Murray.

Rourke labeled that one "terrible," continuing: "But, you know, in your career and all the movies you make, you're going to make dozens of terrible ones."

We might take him at his word on "Passion Play"

Can't say here exactly how I got it but I saw the film 13 a few months ago and I liked it a lot.

I liked the movie's plot on the underground Russian Roulette competition and it was cool seeing a lot of the actors from the show "OZ" in this.

That one sounds interesting.

Rourke Sorry For 'Stupid' Passion Play Comments
April 20, 2011

Mickey Rourke is making amends with Passion Play director Mitch Glazer after publicly slamming the film, insisting he was in a bad mood when he branded it a "terrible movie".

The actor ranted about the drama in a recent interview with New York Magazine's Vulture column and claimed the reason the film is set for a limited release was because it's "not very good".

Now Rourke has backtracked on his comments, admitting they were made in haste.

He tells Vulture:

"Hey, guys. When I talked to you, I was at a party. It was loud and crowded, I was in a s**tty mood and I was trying to get rid of your reporter.

Mitch is one of my best friends since we were kids. I loved working with him and would do it again tomorrow. I don't know why I said that stupid s**t. I love Mitch, I love Megan. My bad."
