Too stupid to get the right address, a nut group accidentally paints a swastika on Archie's front door. Then a second nut group shows up to "protect" him.
Decent humor, and the dramatic surprise ending was pretty good.

One of the most memorable AITF eps, with what could easily be considered the most shocking ending of the show's run.

That was the only AITF episode that ended with no applause, I believe.

I remember watching it in its premiere, as a kid. My whole family was stunned.

Sad how an ending like that would shock audiences back in 1973, but wouldn't even faze them now. :(

I doubt anyone would even think of writing a sitcom episode like this today, one that would actually make them think while they laugh. Now it's all ironic snark and immature mugging.

You make a good point. Again, sad but true!

There's something I observed when watching this episode on DVD. The episode took place on a Sunday, as Archie mentioned about bringing in the Sunday newspaper. Later in the episode, a U.S. Postman delivered cigars to Archie. I thought there was no USPS mail delivery on Sundays. That struck me as a bit odd. It made me think that the package could very well have been a bomb, instead of Edith's kitchen timer, since it was on a Sunday...
