Started this conversation on another forum and I was curious to get everybody's opinions. Did Taxi ever jump the shark so to speak or was it cancelled too soon for that to happen???

Nope, never did. It was great from start to finish.

Some could say Jeff Conaway leaving or Carol Kane joining or Andy Kaufman's role getting bigger but I don't agree with any of those reasons.

No - because I think it stayed consistent and true to its premise for its entire run.

Interesting opinions, thank you for posting. :)

Just out of curiosity, the whole Vic Ferrari storylines never bother anyone?

Taxi never jumped. The final season was different with Louie maturing and sorta becoming a part of the gang and getting engaged and the addition of Simka, but the show was still great and I think it ended at the right time. I enjoyed the Vic Ferrari character. I know some people can't stand the whole multiple personalities storyline, but it gave the Latka character some depth and more airtime, even if it did seem strange. One of my favorite episodes is when Vic/Latka goes to see a therapist and he ends up becoming Alex.

I never cared for them, personally.
