who here remembers this short-lived sitcom that was on CBS in the mid-70s? It aired on saturday nights, and was created and written (or partially written, I don't remember) by Alan Alda and was about a suburban, "nuclear" family (that means 2 parents, a son and a daughter) living in New Jersey. I remember it starred Paul Sorvino as the father and Jerry Hauser played the son. I remember the pilot episode aired right after a movie on CBS (I forget what night-but it was a weeknight).

Who remembers it? TV KNOWLEDGE FAN, I'm sure you know some about it.

I loved this show. Willie Aames was also in the cast. I sure would like to see it again on DVD --I think ;)

I remember the show, it aired during the spring of 1975. Not a bad show but ratings were unsuccessful so CBS pulled it after 12 episodes. I think the show might have had a better chance had it been aired as a new fall series rather than a spring replacement. Many of these mid or late season replacement shows just don't attract enough of an audience.
