I’ve got some good news and some bad news, Castle fans. The bad is that the season finale will also be one character’s finale! The good? Well, um, I’m sure it’ll be exciting.

Obviously, I’m sworn to secrecy as to the identity of the soon-to-be dearly departed. But I can tell you that it’s someone who’s been with the series since the beginning. And the show is pulling out the big guns, figuratively speaking, for this swan song: As I reported in Ask Ausiello, Will Beall, who also wrote this season’s knockout “Knockdown” episode, will be the hour’s author.

i don't get it - someone dies every week on Castle - why do they need to kill off a part of a perfectly good ensemble?

Well let's see. It won't be Castle. I highly doubt it will be Beckett. So it's between Castle's mom or daughter and the two guy detectives. Though I guess it could also be the Chief. He'd be the only one I doubt would be missed that much (just cause he didn't have a huge role in the show).

If Castle's daughter dies that would be too depressing and the character would never recover and it wouldn't be a fun show, so I doubt it's her.

I really don't want it to be the daughter or the mother. They bring alot to this show.
