Shouldn't there be a Sticky Thread that is a catch all for all "Help me remember this case" threads? Just a thought.

That said, please help me remember these 2 cases ;) :

1) Teenage girl at home alone claimed she was attacked in a home invasion and then had amnesia or something. Police weren't entirely sure they believed her. I don't recall there being any resolution to the case.

2) Lady has dinner at Applebees, I think, with a boss/colleague and is later murdered. The boss/colleague was the prime and only suspect.

The murder victim's name was Joan Jeffries. She was found shot to death in her car at a parking lot, but I don't remember if the adjacent restaurant was Applebees. In any case, the murder occurred in Texas on November 29, 1994. Her co-worker, Samir 'Sam' Patel, was - and probably still is - a suspect. But as far as I know, no one has ever been charged with Joan's murder.
