I was wondering if anyone knows if it's cheaper to fly on the weekend or during the week? Is it cheaper to fly at a certain time during the day? Is it cheaper to book a flight months in advance or does it not make a difference?

I will be traveling later this year and it would be helpful to know. Thanks. :)

I've heard it's better to travel on Tuesday or Saturday... But I gotta tell you with the gas prices going up, I don't think the airfares are going down anytime soon.

I travel a lot, and I can tell you that it is cheaper to fly during mid-week like on a tuesday or Wednesday and return on those days. Also if you fly non-stop those tickets are also more expensive than the flights that has stops. Hope that helps.

I heard it is a good idea to buy your tickets on a Wednesday -- I believe that is the day of the week when airlines announce their discounts.

Also, the further in advance you buy your tickets, the less you're likely to pay.

I have looked into prices for my trip and was shocked at the difference in price range. A flight on any day other than Tuesday is twice as expensive. It's cool that it's less on a Tuesday. :)

Do you have to stay for a certain length of time to get the discount?

The discount price is if I stay from Tuesday to Tuesday which is one week. Any other day of the week with the same number of days would double the price, for example Sunday to Sunday.
