The show (premieres Wednesday, April 13, at 9:30 PM ET, then moves to its regular time Wednesdays at 10PM) tackles dating stuff, marriage stuff and friend stuff in equal balance while throwing in gay love interests for the straight girl, homeless people living in attics, and couples looking to swing.

Basically, Dave (Zachary Knighton) and Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) are the perfect couple with the perfect friends. Until she leaves him at the altar on their wedding day.

Now those perfect friends -- including gay Max (Adam Pally), single girl Penny (Casey Wilson), and Alex's sister Jane (Eliza Coupe) and her hubby Brad (Damon Wayans Jr.) -- have to help them get things back to normal in order to keep their group alive.

Adam Pally as 'Max' (The Gay Friend)

The show is called "Happy Endings" and it's about six friends who live in Chicago. It's like the show "Friends" but not as white.

I think we all have had horrid dating stories right... I had a girlfriend who I was the first Jew that she has ever met and she asked me what my horns were. I told her you know 'Jews don't have horns' which is for 'Hollywood'.

Elisha Cuthbert as 'Alex'

I play 'Alex' on the show and in the first episode she leaves her boyfriend, and partner, of eleven years and it's not a good scene.

I think when people start to realize where she was coming from and how her dynamic with 'Dave' changes after that that they'll sort of accept me... but it was a pretty bad move to make.

I think that 'Penny' will open her eyes to the very scary world of dating.

Zachary Knighton as 'Dave'

In the pilot my character 'Dave' gets left at the altar by Elisha Cuthbert's character 'Alex'. It spreads out from there and it's about who gets to keep the friends after the break-up. In the pilot we only deal with that and then we move on.

One time I ate a pot brownie on my first date and I curled up into a fetal position and in the middle of it I had to stop it.

Eliza Coupe as 'Jane' ('Alex's' Sister)

'Jane' is a bit neuortic, a little OCD maybe.

I met a guy on the N-train once in New York and I decided it would be a good idea to go out with him. That's a good choice... just meet a guy on the train...

Damon Wayans, Jr as 'Brad' ('Jane's' Husband)

My wife is actually suggesting to me that we go and pick up some friends who aren't married now, you know not to leave these ones but to kind of balance it out. We're a married couple and we have to talk about married couple things... I don't know what those are.

You will see laugh-out-loud funny stuff. You will see things that you don't know how they got away with on ABC.

Casey Wilson as 'Penny' (The Single Girl)

She just turned thirty and is looking for love in kind of all the wrong places. Any every guy that she meets she is like 'He's the one' and there is always something very wrong with the guy, but also there is probably something wrong with her.

She's very sweet and she wants to find the one. The show is very edgy, very fast, it feels like "Arrested Development" with all of the heart. It's very fun.
