Hey, I was just watching the episode "Lucy Cries Wolf" and got to wondering. Does anybody think that Ricky, Fred, and Ethel where a I little mean to Lucy? I mean Lucy gets kidnapped and Lucy tried to tell them what happened then they just flat out ignored her and would't help her. I know she over did it faking a robbery but they seemed to be pretty mean to her at the end. You can tell she was getting upset right before the episode ended. Please let me know your ideas. Thanks.

I agree, and that's actually why I don't like that episode. Yes, Lucy had it coming, but I just felt that they went a little too far. It just seemed a little insensitive IMO.

Hey Actually I don't. Fred Ethel and Ricky were so fed up with Lucy's
shenanigans that they didn't believe her this time. So I can see where they gave her the comments. Although Ethel did say "How did she tie herself up which if the 3 looked into further they would known Lucy was telling the truth. Why do you think they were mean?. Maybe I bypassed what you saw and thought. I thought that episode was one of the best.

I don't think they were mean either, but trying to teach her a lesson, which obviously never worked being she had continued to fib throughout the series. I thought it was one of the funniest episodes that not many think of as a listed favorite.

It was the whole point of the episode! Thus, the title, Lucy Cries Wolf. There would not have been a synopsis to the episode if Ricky, Ethel and Fred didn't react to her that way! :lol:

....I would have ended it by having a sudden knock at the door, with a cop informing Fred that a burglar is in the apartment building...

RICKY: (angrily) Aw, come on- did Lucy put you up to this??
COP: I don't know who "Lucy" is, but I just found the front door of your apartment wide open, Mr. Mertz- and your sofa's missing.
FRED: (brushing it off) Sure, my sofa is......(horrified) MY SOFA IS MISSING????
ETHEL: (cynically) Oh, come on Fred, you still have an easy chair to get comfy in!
FRED: Not with the comfort I stuffed in the cushion- (in agony) Five thousand dollars!!!
ETHEL & RICKY: (yelling in unison) FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS????????? {Fred collapses}
ETHEL: Then Lucy was telling the truth!!!
RICKY: (incredulous) What's Fred doing with all that money in the sofa?
ETHEL: Oh, he was saving it for his old age!!
RICKY: (confidentially) We'd better find that money before there's nothing left of him!!
ETHEL: Come on, Ricky, help me get him to his feet!
COP: I'll help you, lady...
LUCY: See! I was telling the truth! See? See???
{they all rush out of the apartment, leaving Lucy behind, still tied up}
LUCY: (feebly) See?
{she hops out the front door, following them}
HEY! Wait for me!!!!!!
