OCALA, Florida — A man accused of stealing a doughnut truck because he was tired of walking is being held in the Marion County Jail on charges of grand theft auto and marijuana possession.
Jail records show Randall Travis Roberts, 20, of Davenport was arrested Thursday. He's being held on $10,500 bond. His next court date is scheduled for May 3.
It wasn't immediately known whether he has an attorney.
Ocala Police say Roberts stole a truck filled with 388 boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. He told officers he was tired of walking and wanted to sleep. Police also found 10 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag in the car, but Roberts said the drugs didn't belong to him.
It is not known if he consumed any of the doughnuts.
