(A response to another thread got me thinking of this one.... )
In what ways are "Mary Richards" and "Mary Poppins" similar? And in what ways are they different? This may sound like a wacky thread but it isn't.
Both had LOTS of charm and were "practically perfect in every way." And both were a lot firmer and resolute than a first encounter might opine.
Different? Well one could whip up "real" magic which the other could not.
I can think of quite a few others (similarities and differences) but I don't want to hog the thread. As Linda Richman would say: "Talk amongst yourselves" "Discuss"!
