Alex learns that he shouldn't try so hard to mold his surrogate brother Ming into his own image (since afterall, he isn't exactly the same person as Steven, his dad). Yet (in dramatic "Broken Aesop" fashion), Alex does pretty does the same sort of thing with Andrew.
