Kirstie Alley has gained some girth since her days on 'Cheers,' and George Lopez isn't about to let her forget it.

Lopez launched an attack on the 'DWTS' star's fuller figure on 'Lopez Tonight,' saying of her first performance, "She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away."

While Alley declared on Twitter, "lost 60 lbs before DWTS... Haven't weighed in three weeks but sure I've lost over 10 more," Lopez kept the barbs about her weight coming.

"Before the show, she went to the market and then she had roast beef," said Lopez, alluding to a line from the classic nursery rhyme 'This Little Piggy.' Lopez followed this up with a commercial featuring an animated pig, saying, in case the joke wasn't clear enough, that it looked like Alley.

Despite the jabs, the actress has remained in good spirits, telling her Twitter followers, "You are all saying such sweet and complementary things to me... Thank u all so much.. I feel like Cinderella tonight."

What a jerk. Never thought he was funny (or his show, for that matter).

As I recall George isn't exactly pencil thin himself! In this case he doesn't have hoof to stand on!

Not that I support him for saying those things, but it always amazes me at what makes the news. Late night talk show hosts say things like this on a daily basis, and many times going much further. The majority of the "jokes" are never brought up again.

Kirstie Alley to George Lopez: I Don't Need or Want Your Apology
Mar 25, 2011
by Robyn Ross

Note to George Lopez: Kirstie Alley doesn't want your apology.

After the late-night host said he "misjudged" a joke that compared the Dancing with the Stars contestant to a pig, Alley fired back on Twitter.

"@georgelopez I don't need or want ur apology...I want your kidney dude," Alley tweeted, referring to the fact that Lopez divorced his wife five years after she donated one her kidneys to him.

"On behalf of ur X and all the women uv insulted...give it back."

Yeah, but usually the jokes are made of bad-behavior celebrities like Charlie and Lindsay, or the obnoxious famous-for-nothings like Paris or Kate. Lopez picked the wrong person to insult!

I've heard a number of jokes about Kirstie from almost all of the late night hosts over the years. I don't agree with it at all and I'm glad she is standing up for herself, but it still slightly surprises me that it made the news.

Personally I am sick of comedians picking on easy targets like "the fat actress". Boy, that's really going out on a limb and challenging power, isn't it? There's a difference between a comic and a bully. Everybody got laughs in the fifth grade picking on somebody because of their appearance, but the real wits know how to go after the tougher targets. Let's have some comedy that brings the powerful down to our level, not comedy that tries to make us feel superior by pointing and laughing at someone for something that doesn't matter anyway.

Of course he has the right to do this. And I have the right to say it's cheap and easy and rotten.

One reason I don't watch late night talk shows. All they have are mean-spirited jokes.

Now a similar, unfunny comedian named Carlos Mencia will call Lopez a "DEE-DEE-DEE"!

This is true. Sometimes, it kind of messes with my spirit when I hear certain jokes.
