Atlanta, GA (WiredPRNews.com) Mary Tyler Moore turned the world on with her smile in the 1970s, and in 2011 Barbara Heil-Sonnek will turn the world on with her design skills at the Atlanta Home Show.
Heil-Sonneck will create a space within The Total Wine and Design Experience exhibit at the spring Atlanta Home Show. “A Taste of Hollywood”, the theme of the Home Show exhibit, will feature two separate spaces inspired by classic television shows. Heil-Sonnek, president and owner of Design2Sell Interiors, will craft an environment inspired by the set design of the popular sitcom, The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Retro modern furnishings and décor will reflect the style of the much loved hit series. The designer and business owner is excited about the opportunity to interpret Mary Tyler Moore’s apartment with a 2011 twist.
“Retro is back and we are looking forward to showcasing a retro modern version for our Spring Home Show visitors!”
The Mary Tyler Moore inspired space will be a collaboration of designers, vendors, and creative professionals. Draperies will be fashioned by Kathy Antar of the Sewing Studio and fabrics will be provided by Peachtree Fabrics. Faux finishes and mural design will be completed by Karen Lutz of Wall Expressions, Inc. Direct Furniture will supply furnishings and Simply floors will provide flooring.
The Total Wine and Design Experience will allow visitors to connect with local designers, tour their themed exhibits, sample wines from around the world, and support Travelers Aid of Metropolitan Atlanta with a $5 donation. It will take place during the Atlanta Home Show beginning on April 1, 2011, and continuing until April 3, 2011. The event will be held at the Cobb Galleria Centre at Two Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, GA. Bring your friends, enjoy some great wine, walk the sets and help a worthy cause!
