I just became aware that Facts was being honored, after reading that Gabrial Kaplan and Robert Hedges have signed on with the rest of the cast of WB,K! I'm excited both shows will be major cast reunions!

This is going to be a great Tvland Awards, with the reunions of The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Welcome Back Kotter AND The Facts of Life!!

It's about time our show got recognized. This is the first TV Land Awards I'm actually excited about watching in years. I missed the past couple of shows. This one I am definitely going to watch. :)

This is excellent news! If you are a fan and aren't yet excited you need to be! This will be the first time in almost 25 years that the Facts of Life ensemble has appeared together. You can read our article on the site (www.televisionhits.com/factsoflife/ (http://www.televisionhits.com/factsoflife/)). This will be a memorable event for all Facts fans.

Too bad Shout didn't get on the ball with some more DVD releases because they are going to miss cashing in on some sales with reminding people about this show. Their loss.

I don't think it would make sense for them to show up. If any additional cast would be included, it should be the other originals, Molly Ringwald, Felice Schacter, Julie Piekarski and Julie Anne Haddock. Then theres Geri Jewell...George Clooney.... Where would they stop? I guess the main cast of the 5 should be honored alone as far as this show goes.

I was actually with Lisa a few weeks ago at a conference and she talked about it which was so exciting! Its going to be in New York City and it will tape on April 10th and air on April 17th.

Geri Jewell inferred in an interview that she would be there too, so it's entirely possible that other cast will be there. Though I'm doubting we'll see any of the first year girls.

I'm glad Geri's going to be there! :) Aside from the main 5 cast-members, she's the next one I would have wanted to be on stage with them!

Great news! I spoke to Sherrie Krenn, and she hopes to be there, as she never met Charlotte and hasn't seen the girls in years.

The latest press release that just came out now officially has Geri Jewell and Cloris Leachman added to the list of FOL cast being honored.

It also lists some of the presenters, but there is nobody that makes obvious sense to hand out the FOL award. Michael J. Fox, who is there to be honored with the Family Ties cast, would make the most sense to me. At least he was the same era, the same network and heck, he dated Nancy for however many years so he probably hung out on set quite a bit too.

It never occured to me that Cloris Leachman would participate! Well now that Cloris, Geri and Sherrie are going to be there, I hope some of the first season girls show up! (Molly Ringwald, Anybody?!) :)

Molly Ringwald may be there anyways, as she is a huge star.

There are already some red carpet pics up at Wireimage, Gettyimages and other pic sites. The only main cast member I haven't spotted yet is Kim. I hope she is going to make it.

Wow I've been following Lisa Welchel and her kids on twitter tonight and they are posting a bunch about the tvland awards. When lisa and the facts girls were about to go up lisa's daughter Clancy wrote My mom's up next and she is defiantly the hottest one here. How sweet, Lisa has great kids. The other tidbits I've gathered via tweets is that I know at least Charlotte, Kim & Mindy spoke. Perhaps the others did too, but those are the ones I saw mentioned. The award was presented by the Hot in Cleveland cast, minus Betty White.

Charlotte paid tribute to Brandon Tartikoff in her speech, former NBC president, as did Bill Cosby and Gary David Goldberg, in their respective speeches for their shows. It didn't really dawn on me until then they were all NBC shows of that same time period.

One of the live tv bloggers said Kim's speech will make you cry, and Mindy's was supposedly really heartfelt too.

Oh, and supposedly Charlotte paid tribute to how well all of the "girls" have turned out.

All the girls looked gorgeous, but I was particularly happy to see Mindy looking so good. I like this hair. The last I saw her she had really short bleached hair (in the Nancy bio).

bout time the show started getting acolades. It's been one of the most popular sitcoms for what? 30 years now? Great that Nancy finally woke up and agreed to embrace the best thing she was ever part of. Can't wait to see the whole group there and I hope cloris is there too, she was funny on the show. Mackenzie Astin would be a surprise though. Great news!

I think that's a little unfair though. It's not Geri's fault that Kim Fields showed up relatively late and missed most of the red carpet opportunities. So even if Geri weren't in all the pictures, Kim still wouldn't be either.

In terms of Nancy, she's always been nothing but gracious regarding FOL. I have heard her talk about it on numerous occasions and she did the whole press tour for the DVDs, so it's not like this is the first time she's doing the nostalgia thing.

I really enjoyed hearing the acceptance speeches. Heart-warming TV moment! This show helped get me through a difficult childhood. I will always love and appreciate the cast for doing that!

I noticed the applause for the two of them!!!! They all had such wonderful speeches though. it was so nice to see them all together again. I admire each of them so much. They are amazing women!

They actually discussed Charlotte's statement during the GMA interview. One of the "girls" pointed it out to her that what she said could have been misinterpreted. She was clearly embarrassed, but in the end everyone was laughing about it. And yes--Charlotte did mean her girls turned out great!!

I really enjoying seeing the FOL cast back together again. Charlotte Rae (who will be 85 years young this Friday) still looks wonderful as does the rest of the ladies. It was also great seeing Geri Jewell for the first time in ages.

There also was no "host" this year. John Ritter, Kelly Ripa, Megan Mullaly and others had done it... but this one was different.

Well I was searching the web for the video of the award speech and I was suprised that it's not on the tv land website or on youtube. But I did find it, it's an aol video and I had to search google a while till I found it, but I did find it. I've seen the abbreviated clip from JoPol, but wish I had recorded the original, full show.

I hope Mindy gets that show on ABC, it's been awhile since she's been in anything decent. ABC recently gave a show to Melissa Joan Hart of "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" and Raven Symone of "That's So Raven", so I could see Mindy getting one too. :D
