How did they write out of the show Chip's friend,Sudsy Pfeiffer?Was the character EVER mentioned in any of the CBS color Bryant Park episodes?

I don't think that they ever wrote Sudsy out. I think he just disappeared one day without any explanation and Chip started hanging with Ernie.
