Now she's in New York starring in another soap, Search for Tomorrow. "I've always been in love with her, but it's rocky," Mark confides. So in L.A. he recently decided, "Quick! I have to find somebody who really likes me before Star Wars opens." Like Mrs. Ladd, she's a dental hygienist. But Hamill's career and romantic pendulum may be veering back east toward the stage and Anne. "At big Hollywood parties," he says, "I watch what happens to my personality, and I don't like it." Then there's another problem about the Coast. He hasn't bought another car yet.

I have a little update about Anne Wyndham's life today, according to her Search For Tomorrow co-star Maree Cheatham via Facebook! Ms. Wyndham still lives in LA, and the two often run into each other at auditions for commercials. Ms. Wyndham also has a grown son who is now a doctor!! :cool: :D

Cool, what happened to her character on Barney Miller?

She and Barbara Barrie (Elizabeth) were phased out early on as the show focused solely on the 1-2, not half work and half Barney's home life, as originally planned. Anyway, Anne Wyndham immediately got a gig on Search For Tomorrow, which taped in NYC. So she moved cross country and stayed on SFT for three years (1975-78). Her brother was played by Michael Nouri, and her husband was played by Joel Higgins (who later on became the dad on Silver Spoons).
