It's hard to find My Favorite Martian episodes on the net, but I found episode 2 on a Japanese TV station (in English). Time has to babysit his boss's dog, and "George" is lovesick for a dog owned by a woman who is bitter at men. Uncle Martin can understand animals, and he uses his talents to solve everybody's problems.

Odd, I don't remember seeing this one before.
