I'm sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but why in Season 5 did they start alternating episodes between two teams of detectives? It was just Goren/Eames for the first four seasons, then season 5 starts Logan/Barek every other episode. I was just wondering why this was done?

I'm sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but why in Season 5 did they start alternating episodes between two teams of detectives? It was just Goren/Eames for the first four seasons, then season 5 starts Logan/Barek every other episode. I was just wondering why this was done?


It was intended to lighten the work load on Vincent D'onofrio who was suffering from both physical and mental exhaustion. So they gave him every other week off. :)
