How many HW assignments do you get daily? How long does it usually take you to do them? ((just want to see whether if my teachers are nuts or not))

Kay Scarpetta 12-31-2001, 04:01 PM I usually finish all my homework in school. It's the projects that I am always busy with. My science teacher is such a [word]. He gives us like 7 page papers due in 3 days and I'm only in 7th grade. Ugh. ILuvJoandBlair 12-31-2001, 04:02 PM I usually gget homework from five out of six classes. It takes me at least 2 hours at the least, and what I don't do at home I do it in other classes. Beruche 12-31-2001, 04:47 PM I get alot of homework but I always finish it at school.I usually do it at lunch its not like I have anything better to do. Hollow 12-31-2001, 04:55 PM Not alot like 0-2. Montana Ponine 12-31-2001, 05:06 PM Hmm...i usually get a lot of my math hw done at school..it takes me maybe an hour to get all my hw done?? i like to do it right after i get home to get it over with. btw, Jo's the Bomb, u have an awesome sig!! ISmellFine 12-31-2001, 05:43 PM Um...I usually don't pay attention when the teachers are talking and do my homework then so I don't have any when I get home, then I can head straight for the computer or the TV to watch TD. AHAHAHAHHAHAHAH. XoVanillaRain90oX 12-31-2001, 05:49 PM Originally posted by goddess936 Not alot like 0-2. Yup. Same here. I usually do some of it in school so it like takes me 20-30 minutes a night to do it all :D Meg07945 12-31-2001, 06:06 PM I'm on a rotating schedule, so I miss 2 classes a day. I usually get homework in math, English, Spanish every day. I get labs and stuff in Bio. We have a week to write up a lab report, but you have to work on it for like 30 minutes a night. :( I rarely get hw in history. Our teacher is awesome. We're the only class that has him. (OK I can never word things so they make sense. I'll try again: He teaches like all these elective histories that you can only take sr year, but we are his only not senior class) He makes us do these outlines, maybe 1 a week. In health we get homework. She's really serious about it too. If you don't do your health hw 3 times, you get detention! I probably have 20 mins of hw in math, 30 mins in English, 5 in Spanish (usually something out of a workbook...its easy!) I probably have an hour and a half total. Not bad, considering I don't have a study. It's good that I'm taking easy electives- CAD and art have homework. Band you just have to practice and cooking we never get anything. KerriBerri687 12-31-2001, 06:49 PM ugh i get sooooooooooooooooo much hw...like at-least 3 hours a nite Warm & Fuzzy 12-31-2001, 06:51 PM Originally posted by Montana Ponine btw, Jo's the Bomb, u have an awesome sig!! Thanks JDS84 12-31-2001, 09:00 PM No homework I do all mine at school. DarleneIllyria 12-31-2001, 11:23 PM This is a really odd thing that I just thought of by seeing this subject. I remember when I was in middle school I had so much damn homework it literally made me sick to look at the textbooks. In high school I hardly have any homework, just studying and maybe a few pieces of other work, maybe a project here and there. Also in middle school the teachers alway said that they were preparing us for high school, and teachers in high school didn't take to much crap. Everything my middle school teachers have said has been wrong. I wonder why middle school teachers do this? I guess to make people do their work, but still...... vienna waits 12-31-2001, 11:57 PM At my school we only have four classes one day then the other 4 classes the next day so HW is never do the next day. On one of the days we get an hour and a half study hall so I try to get as much of my HW done then. What I dont get done I do at 9 o'clock on the day before its due. Cara Oatmeal 01-01-2002, 09:05 PM I didn't do one homework assignment the whole year and I usually have homework in all 9 periods so I just turn in somebody elses or I dont do it Meg07945 01-01-2002, 10:53 PM Originally posted by Jenny This is a really odd thing that I just thought of by seeing this subject. I remember in like 5th grade, we had to write in cursive. The teachers were like "yeah, they require it up upper grades". Well, I haven't used cursive in forever. I don't remember how to make any of the letters....but you're right. My teachers in middle school tried to prepare us for high school....some over prepared us (sciences, languages..we were doing Spanish 3 in 8th grade!) and some didn't prepare us at all (English- reading 1 book and writing 2 essays the entire year and then coming into HS English and being expected to read a book and write an essay on it in like a week) Oh and Cara Oatmeal-- nobody cares. I really hate to break this to you (oh wait, no it gives me much pleasure...?) but you can stop pretending to be a badass or whatever, because nobody cares! Babes_Cat 01-02-2002, 08:52 PM I get homework in 5 out of 9 classes, maybe 6 classes sometimes. And I have study halls everyother day so I luck out then and am online the night before and I do the homework in study. Hehe. But, yeah, it is alot. You "supposedly" supposed to spend like 1/2 and hour on each subject so thats like 2 1/2 to 3 hours a night. That is alot especially when you have other activities to do. AND WHEN YOU WANT TO BE ONLINE! () That's just me though..... hehehe! (ALthough I did get more homework in 4th and fifth grade then I did in 6th and 7th.... 8th just the problem.... grrrr!) |
