First Look! Clemens, Harington to Star in Silent Hill: Revelation

Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington will star in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D for writer-director Michael J. Bassett.

The film begins lensing in Toronto today.


Clemens will be seen in X-Men: First Class this summer, meanwhile, Harington stars in HBO's upcoming "Game of Thrones".





Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is based on the acclaimed survival horror videogame franchise by Konami and is the sequel to Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody’s earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans.





For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand.

Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

The Old Gang's Back for Silent Hill: Revelation

Original Silent Hill cast members Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger are back for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

They'll join newcomers Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington.




Writer-director Michael J. Bassett said: "It wouldn't be the same without some of the original 'Silent Hill' cast. Sean, Radha and Deborah's return will certainly thrill fans of the franchise and compliment 'Revelations' stars Adelaide and Kit."




Shooting has already begun up in Canada with The Hills Have Eyes director of photography Maxime Alexandre who says:

"With the most advanced technology available, in particular the lighter, smaller and more flexible 3D Red Epic, we are able to take audiences deeper in the world of 'Silent Hill' than they ever dreamed possible.

Devotees will finally be able to enter this realm along side of Heather, Vincent, Harry and Rose and experience the psychological horror and the fear of the unknown with them."

Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell Join Silent Hill: Revelation 3D

The newest residents of Michael J. Bassett's world of Silent Hill: Revelation 3D are Carrie-Anne Moss who will play "Claudia Wolf" and Malcolm McDowell as "Leonard Wolf."

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is currently lensing in Toronto and produced by Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody.





Moss and McDowell join rising star Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, and returning Silent Hill residents Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger.



Hadida said: "Carrie has displayed her enormous talent across all genres – from 'The Matrix' trilogy to 'Memento' – and we are delighted for her to join the world of Silent Hill. She will certainly bring a new level of excitement to fans of the videogame franchise."




Director Michael J. Bassett said: "Malcolm is quite simply an icon of modern cinema and I've been a fan since I was a teenager when I managed to see 'A Clockwork Orange.' Can you talk a little bit about Silent Hill: Revelation 3D?

I enjoyed that very much. It's part 2 of Silent Hill and all that.

I just really did one major piece in it. I play this weird guy who's blind in a prison cell, with a chain. Scary.

It was fun to do. I loved doing it. I just went in for a week, did it, and "Bye bye."

I'm sure it'll be good, because this is one of the better ones of that genre of movie. So I think it'll be good.

The official Facebook page for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has been updated with a slew of behind-the-scenes imagery.

The stand-out pictures are below; they include a look at producer Don Carmody with the nurses, Carmody beneath a giant statue and the producer speaking with co-star Carrie-Anne Moss.

It's the first time we're getting a look at The Matrix star in make-up.

Open Road Picks Up Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, Schedules Halloween Release

Open Road Film has picked up all U.S. distribution rights to Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, a sequel to the 2006 adaptation of a Konami video game.

Open Road has scheduled the film for an Oct. 26 release, hoping to catch the Halloween crowd. The move set the film to open a week after Paramount releases Paranormal Activity 4.





The new movie reunites original cast members Sean Bean, Deborah Kara Unger and Radha Mitchell.

New to the cast are up-and-comers Adelaide Clemens (X-Men: First Class) and Kit Harington ("Game of Thrones").

Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) directs.



The 2006 film, released by Sony’s TriStar Pictures label, made $97.6 million worldwide.
