Hey guys! I know someone could help me with this, I actually saw it recently on Lifetime. It's the case where there was a white guy who owned some farm, and a black guy was living there and working. Eventually the black guy started getting all biblical on the white guys arse, and soon the black guy took over the white guys house. The white guy was eventually found dead in his basement, and the black guy and his family had vanished with all of the white guys money, weird story.

That would be the Tim Goode case. The man who stole money from and eventually killed Tim Goode was named Dave Freeman. When Freeman started working at the Goode farm, he went by the name of "Ben". He started the process of controlling the mind of Tim Goode by inviting him to a Bible study group he led, then slowly began to manipulate and eventually take complete control over Tim Goode. Goode ended up selling the first farm he owned for approximately 1 million dollars, which Dave Freeman and his family eventually took and spent. I could be wrong, but I do believe Dave Freeman was eventually captured. Definitely a strange case, one of the more memorable ones in my opinion. You should be able to find the original case on a certain, unnamed website.

The POS Freeman was eventually captured and sent to jail, but has since been released. The Farina hosted updates seem to always have the murderer released from jail after only serving a short sentence.

Thanks guys! You're the best! Yea, I remembered that he was caught, what a scumbag. I never understand the sentencing, I have seen stories that are horrifying, like the one where they found out some guy literally pushed a girl off a cliff, and to hear he has "since been released". It makes me angry inside.

Anyway, I know I'm late to the forum but I have DVR'ed and watched every episode with Farina. I have my issues with him but there are some key reasons why they don't matter. First is it would take something terrible to make me not watch Unsolved Mysteries, and let's face it the new show is just the old show with a new narrator and updates. And that would be the second thing I love about it, I am able to find closure with the updates. Hopefully, the new show will open up funding for new stories and such. Look forward to reminiscing with you guys! BTW there is a really good torrent out there with someone that put together 12 DVD's of old VHS tapes from the Stack days!

Welcome!

I did speak with a relative of Tim's years back. He was so glad to watch the update where it basically show's Freeman on the ground with cops surrounding him. He was even at the trial.
