I've been watching My Three Sons via the DVDs available through NetFlix. I was young for first run and only remember the last season (or two) with the triplets and an episode/special where Steve had amnesia in the last 60's/early 70's. The Chicago CBS affiliate (channel 2 WBBM) showed reruns in the 70's, but they always started with the episode where Mike gets married.
I am watching the Season 1 Volume 2 Disc 3 episode "The Horseless Saddle". Bub gets a package and the home address is on the box.

Has anyone figured out the city and state?

This has been debated a lot on other boards. The only concensus is pretty much that Bryant Park was a midwestern town -- aside from that, it seems that the producers kept any other info, including which state, secret or nonexistent.
Some claim it was a suburb of Chicago -- however, in one episode there's mention of a long-distance call from Bryant Park to Chicago.

I know that it is supposed to be Bryant Park, but there is no way the city and state on the box Bub received looks anything like Bryant Park. To me, it looks like "SEALDE, MOEISNASI".

It looks to me like the address was deliberately made unreadable -- and of course, in those years the only people who could pause would be those with film of the episode and a projector.
Of course that doesn't read Bryant Park. What kind of answer are you looking for? Sedalia, Missouri?

They showed the top of the box for at least the first full minute of the episode. I only paused it so I could take a photo. And yes, I agree that it does look deliberately made unreadable. And no, I am not looking for an answer, but rather discussion.
When did they first mention that they lived in Bryant Park? I watched the first season episodes over the last 6 months or so. I don't know if they mentioned the town in the first season. Did they give clues to what part of the country they lived in? Did it snow in any episode?

Here is a pertinent comment from M3S authority Geoff, taken from IMDb:
"It is never mentioned specifically what state they live in but liberal clues are sprinkled throughout the episodes. Bryant Park was a fictitious town supposedly in the midwest. It was not fully mentioned until the start of the third season that this was their home town, and again, subtle clues are hinted at in the first two seasons. The last episode of the second season has a scene where William Frawley is asked if he has ever been to Bryant Park!"
Additonally, regarding snow, I've never seen it in any episode -- however, it would have been pretty rare for most sitcoms of the era -- except for ones that decided to do Christmas episodes or something like that.

I always thought it was California after seeing the episode where Ernie falls into a rich lady's swimming pool, because the area looked like it might be Beverly Hills. I think the lady was Zsa Zsa Gabor.

I'm assuming that episode is post-move. In 1967 they moved from Bryant Park, Moeisnasi to Los Angeles, California. That's a real town. Allegedly. :D
