I mean instead of DVDs broken down by "theme", why not just release season sets? I wanna have all of the cases--murders, ghosts, and ESPECIALLY unsolved murders/disappearances on DVD in the chronological order they aired in.

As sweet as this would be, I don't forsee it happening as long as they're still airing the Farina hosted episodes. They would probably figure who's going to pay money for these while they're readily available to watch on TV for free.

Well, I'd hope they wouldn't use that logic since even though the stories are the same, the Farina UM segments bear very little resemblance to the classic originals.
The main problem, of course, was that the original UM DVD sets apparently just didn't sell that well. And as much as we'd love to see more murder/unexplained death/missing persons cases on DVD, I have to wonder if there are a lot of obstacles getting permission from a victim's family since technically, releasing their story on a commercial DVD release means it's now being sold for profit. Of course, the other side of the coin is that a DVD release of an old cold case can only give it more exposure and increase its chances of getting solved.

I regularly contact Cosgrove Meurer Productions and everytime they say they have no plans to release anymore new dvds or episodes.

I would buy every season they released if it ever happened.

We've been told there isn't enough interest to warrant new releases, as sad as it is.

I would be willing to pay for complete season DVD's, but I have always figured that CMP would never release season DVDs for various reasons. Orgazmo's contact with CMP confirms it. I think UM fans would need to get together and push to show that UM has been able to maintain a strong fanbase for close to 25 years. We continued the watch the show when it moved to CBS, the Lifetime airings, and know we do our best to watch the condensed Farina episodes just to get some feel for the show that we enjoyed in the past and I still watch the YouTube uploads even though the picture quality of some of those is bad.

Yes. They have been emailed time and again and this is always their reply.

DVDs seem highly unlikely and not really reasonable, but I wish we could at least get the original show in streaming internet form. I remember a while back AOL picking up syndication for a bunch of older shows, including Freddy's Nightmares. It'd be nice to see Stack on Hulu or something...

I wish streaming of the original show would be done. I also remember when AOL offered older shows and shows that were canceled from 1999 to 2003 for streaming. I watched several cancelled shows The Fugitive remake and Brother's Keeper through AOL.
