Hey I was just wondering if anyone had any information on that UM case where one brother was arrested for something like armed robbery and he claimed that it was in fact his twin. I always felt that he was telling the truth. can anyone give me any info on the case?

Alas, Frederick Young is still in prison and barring a full confession from his twin brother, Cedrick, he ain't getting out anytime soon. Here's a more detailed thread about the case:

I've always thought the main problem in this case was Frederick's ridiculously excessive 77-year sentence for robbery. I'm not defending Cedrick in any way, but it is possible that he does feel genuinely guilty about what happened and might have confessed to the robbery a long time ago if the sentence had been a lot more reasonable. But I'm not sure there's enough guilt in the world to make a man willingly submit themselves to 77 years in prison. Offering Cedrick a reduced sentence for his confession might have put an end to this ordeal a long time.

The only problem with offering Cedrick a reduced sentence to testify is that the prosecutors would have to be willing to admit that they made a mistake in the first place to make such an offer, which I don't think that they would do.

It doesn't seem like Fred will be getting out on parole either, he is hardly a model prisoner...

While some of those could be dismissed as a "petty" offense, the sexual act (I think he was caught masterbating in front of a female guard) would show you the type of person Fred Young is. Guilty or not, that's sick.
