My choices:1)"Leave it to Beaver" 2)"The Dick Van Dyke Show",3)"Green Acres",4)"Sanford and Son"Oops! I forgot to add the characters on my choices-1)"Leave it to Beaver"-The Ward character mellowed out, becoming more easygoing as the series went on.Because in the first season episodes,he was somewhat irritable. 2)"The Dick Van Dyke Show"-Alan Brady was kind of easy going at first, but then in later seasons became a bit tyrannical and overbearing somewhat, but still funny.Mel Cooley went from being somewhat bossy at first,to being a pest ,as Rob said in the very good last season episode 1965's"The Bottom of Mel Cooley's Heart".3)On "Green Acres",Lisa, who was pretty sensible at first, and became a ditz later on.Mr.Kimball ,who was also pretty savvy at first.became really stupid as the series progressed. 4)"Sanford and Son"-Both Fred and Lamont changed-Lamont was kinda mean at first towards Fred, and Fred was the nice one.But towards the end,it was the reverse-Lamont was the nice one,and Fred was the grouchy one.

Radar on "MASH"-the first season he wasn't-how can I put this-that young, naive young kid.
He drank-there's a first season episode where he's in the swamp, sharing a drink with Hawkeye, Trapper and Spearchucker-smoked, etc.

Andy Griffith.--In the black and white seasons of the Andy Griffth Show,he was alot more easy going, relaxed, often smiling etc.In the later seasons(color episodes)he became alot more uptight.

Sgt. Carter on "GOMER PYLE: U.S.M.C." Once he realized that Gomer's really a nice guy, and that he takes being a marine seriously he became friends with him.

Archie Bunker became a lot more mellow in the last regular season of AITF, and even more mellow during Archie Bunker's Place.

Jackie on Roseanne was level headed in the first few years, except for men, but turned into a total ditz in the last few years.

Wojo on Barney Miller was much more gruff, misogynist and pigheaded during the first couple years of that show. He grew a lot later on.

Arnold Horshack was very naive and immature during the first three years of Welcome, Back Kotter then grew up in a hurry during the last (and terrible) year of that show.
