View Full Version : Another hilarious Ricky video! Goldilocks 02-27-2011, 04:22 PM I have no idea what show this was from but it's great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5u7a8Z5IW4 dahur1 03-03-2011, 02:16 AM I thought I'd seen all Rick's stuff. Great, thanks for posting. OH Nuts! 03-05-2011, 05:22 PM It is funny - sounds like a Saturday Night Live sketch. But I'm not totally sure (I know Rick was on SNL in 1979 and he looks around 39 in the video) snorlaxnut 03-08-2011, 03:04 AM It is funny - sounds like a Saturday Night Live sketch. But I'm not totally sure (I know Rick was on SNL in 1979 and he looks around 39 in the video) I have the SNL episode that Rick was on. The video Goldilocks posted is not from SNL. I wonder if the sketch came from this show TeeVeeCloset posted in this thread: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=225218 Goldilocks 03-08-2011, 05:35 PM I have the SNL episode that Rick was on. The person who posted the Youtube video said it was from 1985, so the show TeeVeeCloset mentioned just might be where it's from. OH Nuts! 03-09-2011, 07:37 PM I have the SNL episode that Rick was on. I wonder if the sketch came from this show TeeVeeCloset posted in this thread: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=225218 Mine was just an educated guess. I only had snippets of the SNL show that Rick was on (it was on a Best of '79 VHS). The DVD had his opening of the show, the Twilight Zone and "Quien Es Mas Mucho" skits. And the sketch did seem like an SNL sketch - although kind of tame - given how outrageous SNL could be. Recently I was able to purchase that entire year on DVD at J & R (it was on sale for $22.) It will be fun to see the full SNL ep. (I probably did when it orig. aired but was not into O & H at the time) jesmelric 03-10-2011, 10:22 PM That would make sense. Hi, the video is from my youtube channel, glad you have enjoyed it :) It's not from the show Our Time, however. Here is a clip that is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDCAZOl_kIs Unfortunately I don't have any information on where the clip is from. matt77b 03-11-2011, 02:50 AM This clip is from "The Motown Review," hosted by Smokey Robinson, which aired on August 30, 1985. Rick performed two songs on the show and was backed by the Jordanaires. The songs were "Lonesome Town" and his last single, "You Know What I Mean." jesmelric 03-11-2011, 10:51 AM This clip is from "The Motown Review," hosted by Smokey Robinson, which aired on August 30, 1985. Thanks so much for the info, I will include it in the video clip. I believe I have both performances from that show, or I know I have at least one.
