I rented a movie from Netflix and for some reason it wouldn't play in the Blu-ray player. It was a regular dvd. I know that my Blu-ray player plays both Blu-ray dvds and regular dvds. I put the movie into a regular dvd player that was not Blu-ray and it played.

I thought perhaps it was just that one disc so I sent it back to Netflix and had them send me another disc of the same movie. The same thing happened. It's the first time that a regular dvd wouldn't play in the Blu-ray player.

thats weried. my playstaiotn 3 plays blu rays and dvd. maybee something messed up in your blu ray player.
