I found a dollar in elementary school, a dollar in high school, 5.00 in high school, 20.00 on the side of Walgreens, 22.00 in front of a bank, 10.00 in front of Walgreens, 5.00 close to a Burger King, 1.00 in a Payless parking lot, 2.00 at a bus stop, and 1.00 by my house. :)

The most I ever found was a $5 bill. I was too young to even know what I had, so my parents bought me a toy with it. This was in the very late '60s and $5 was worth a lot more then, needless to say...!

Once when I was a child, I found a 5 dollar bill, in the ocean...

Tweety, I DO work for a living, in fact, very hard. :) Adding up the money I found on the ground in my first post, the money comes up to only 58.00, which is enough to afford a very expensive dinner for one at Red Lobster. Trust me, I know. ;). 35.99 for a Steak and Lobster meal, and 8.00 for a Bahama Mama. Add about 8.00 as a very good tip(18 percent), and it roughly comes up to 52.00. :)

I found $20 on a sidewalk about 15 years ago. Kinda made my day which is silly because I had a great job, and my husband had a successful business.

I know my sister has found a lot. I don't know if she still is finding (tons) of quarters or not. I believe she was taking all the quarters from the wishing well at her school. Last month she had $19 worth of quarters. Of course I can't prove that she was or still is taking quarters from the wishing well at her school. I know she also finds pennies, nickels, dimes, etc. She will even pick change up when it's on the floor in public bathrooms.

I think the most I've found was a little over $40. It was at grocery store that I worked at, I turned it into the service desk. The owner picked it up soon after. My brother once found a $100 when he worked at a grocery store. He turned it in but it was never claimed so he got to keep it.

One time I was leaving the library and heading to the parking lot, and by my car was $40. Only time I ever found money on the ground. I wish something like that would happen again soon.

I was just kidding. I've used that line w/people I know who found money on the ground. That wasn't a comment on your work ethic. :)

I once found $50 at one of the ATM machines at my grocery store bank. Apparently someone forgot to take their money. I turned it in at the bank.

I also found $20 right next to my car at WalMart once. I waited until the person parked next to me came out and asked him if it was his. He said no, so I kept it. I figured there was no way to find out who it belonged to, but I kind of felt guilty about it because I am a compulsive worrier.

I was sitting in the car and the wind was blowing away a bill so I got out of the car and pick it up and  $100! I kept it! :D
