Was this ever on UM? The news featured an update with the UM music but the details were such that if I'd seen it I'm sure I'd never have forgotten it.

Interesting, in light of the thread here on Sherry Everly (Pizza delivery girl), which was the subject of a questionable confession, that Candy Rogers's murder was the subject of over a dozen false confessions!

If it had been featured on the show, it could have been briefly mentioned in another segment. But at this point, I'm assuming it was never profiled on UM (or at least there was never a full segment on Candice Elaine Rogers case per se). Therefore, the case would likely be best discussed in a non-UM section of this forum, specifically the "All Other Cases" thread.
