Last August, in 2010, I, James A. Terrell, have moved from Austin, Texas, to Los Angeles, California to be "closer to Hollywood" during my last years. I live in a highrise condominium at 1100 Wilshire (a former office building). And as part of the deal, I have started a nightclub/dinner theatre named the "House of James". It is open every Wednesday from 6:00 to 11:00 and no one under the age of 35 is allowed in the club. I serve as the host and emcee, my wife Josephine is the manager. I will also have a secretary (Donna Pescow) and a couple of bouncers (as in doormen), who prefer to remain anonymous. I have actually hired The Facts of Life star Mindy Cohn as the cook, who will have three assistants (one of them will fill in for Cohn when she is absent).

And one thing...Jeff Zucker actually owns the club and will do anything to shut it down.

I have an announcement: The House of James will move its shows to Saturday from Wednesday effective September 3. Last Wednesday show will be August 31 of the House of James to Saturdays from Wednesdays. I thought Saturdays would be a better night for the House of James than Wednesdays, and most of the HoJ staff agreed to the decision.

I would like to announce that "House of James" will be closing down effective March 30, 2013. The decision was a mutual one between myself and the HoJ staff. After 141 shows, March 30 will be the HoJ's last show ever.
