Why did this season start in November and not September?

I've watched a few already...

Howard sure has lost weight in this one and kinda like the mini sideburns he has.

No Tell Motel-- I liked it and somethings I thought were funny. I don't understand why Joanie told M/H about the motel and gave her phone back since Fonzie said he wouldn't say anything.

Live & Learn-- I thought it was okay just glad that Fonzie shaved off that beard. But I liked the lesson Howard gave Fonzie. We do hear about Mother Kelp but kinda wished we had seen her.

Dreams Can Come True-- Parts of it I liked but I don't get why those two women didn't win, I thought maybe their stories would have won the money. Any ideas? Even though I thought the way they said it wasn't heartfelt.

Hello, Roger-- It was okay but what is with the non introductions... First Fonzie doesn't see the wheelchair bound job applicant, just assumes and now he has a tussle with Roger and doesn't even know his name. Marion told him that her nephew was coming, couldn't he have just asked Roger if he was Marion's nephew?

There was a writer's strike before that season that delayed the start for all tv shows during the 1980-81 season until november.

in the big picture season 8 wasn't too bad the worst season i think was season 10 those episodes didn't resemble the old show much. it seemed like a fonzie loves ashley spinoff at sometimes, at least season 8 was still like happy days

Tom Bosley had some major sideburns going on circa the very early 1970s, before Happy Days began and he had to get a haircut (to have the proper look for the show's era). I'm sure he was glad to go longer again later on, as you've noticed -- he very likely preferred that look.

Marion won because she put some heartfelt drama into how she told her story, this won the audience over. :)

The episodes the last two days I haven't posted about...

Joanie gets wheels-- Kinda liked this one but loved the ending with J/H/F.

And the winner is... Fonzie was so funny but I thought it was okay.

Sixth Sense... Didn't care for this episode even though I'm sure we have had feelings about people that may have been right or wrong. What's with Howard going to the bathroom to wash his face when everyone is singing Happy Birthday? Just didn't think that part was funny

If you knew Rosa-- 'Bout damn time his guilt feelings go away.

It hurts when I smile-- It was good and funny too

Welcome to my nightmare-- LOVED IT!! Not sure I'd want my husband taking phone messages down for Fonzie. LOL

Broadway it's not-- Kinda hated this one... If I was Howard, I would have thrown him out. I did noticed in some scenes that TB had a wedding ring.

Bride and Gloom-- Didn't care for it but I liked Cathy's acting. Liked the pep talk she and Fonzie had with Mr. C.

I didn't mind the episodes after Ron & Don left. I wished Anson was on more of them though.

Joanie had that crush on Potsie in an earlier season, I think after that it would have been kinda awkward if they got together. Plus, since Joanie was still in high school and Potsie in college, it would have raised a few eyebrows back then.

It WOULD have given Potsie something more to do on the show, though.

I know I haven't been posting the rest of the episodes so here they are.

Hello, Mrs. Arcola: I thought it was okay but I kidna don't blame Chachi for wantitng to show Joanie his home but thought maybe his mom could have met her at Arnold's. I bet they practiced Howard's tackling cause I'm not sure tackling a guy with a bad back can fix it.

Fonzie gets shot: Lame.

Potsie on his own: I thought it was cool how Potsie was worried about what Fonzie would think but I wonder how he suddenly kept the apartment.

Tall Story: I thought it was good.

Scholarship: I also thought this one was good.

R.C & L.B. Forever: I thought maybe they should have had them get married off screen or something like that.. I mean seriously, they said only wives can go to Greenland.. HELLOOOO Anybody home? Took the Capitan to make them realize that.

Howard's Bowling Buddy: I liked this episode. I know that in real life, Patricia played his bowling buddy and Tom and her were married in real life. Man, those two just looked cute together..

Mother & Child Reunion: Kinda liked this one but so many clues that might lead you to believe that the waitress was Fonzie's mother. I don't think Fonzie would have left the picture with her but not sure they wanted us to know for sure.

American Musical: I thought this was okay but not sure I like the idea of Chachi at the Cunninghams doing homework when he could do it at home. Or he could have done it at Fonzie's. I assume they were asleep? I would have thought the Cunninghams could have heard them.
