Just curious where every character hailed from?

I know that Ted Baxter started his broadcasting career at a 6000 watt radio station in Sacramento, so we know he didn't always live in Minnesota. I don't know however if he was born in Minnesota.

Well when the spinoff Phyllis was launched,it was revealed Phyllis grew up in

San Francisco and thats where she met Lars.

I always thought Murray had a New York type accent too but I'm sure he was meant to be from Minnesota.

I guess the only one we know for sure was a Minnesota native was Bess. :lol:

Mary often mentions her hometown, I think it's called Roseberg. On the Christmas episode she was planning on driving there to spend the holidays with her parents.

Lou mentions working for a newspaper in Detroit, but I don't know if that's where he grew up or not.
