The one where Lucy, Ricky & Bob are dressed up like umpires. At the very end he kisses her on the lips very hard and long. I always thought that seemed kind of odd, considering Ricky was right there. But in the book Ball of Fire, it says Lucy and Bob were good friends, and I just wondered if they were ever more than just friends.

...just so he could ad-lib to the audience, "Boy, I may never go back to NBC!". He once claimed he worked that entire episode without ever sticking to the script.

Bob and Lucy were good friends (they co-starred together in several movies, and she guest-starred on his radio show a few times), but they were never lovers. He really didn't need her when he had so many "conquests", younger than her, on the side during a 50 year period. And Desi led his radio show's "house band" during the 1946-'47 season, so I'm sure Bob knew what kind of a womanizer he was as well...

Lucy and Bob co-starred notably in one movie in particular together as lovers, each one cheating on their spouse in the story. Lots of pretty heavy scenes between them...!

The Facts Of Life ... my favorite Lucille Ball film and Bob Hope film, and by strange chance they both are the stars. Just a wonderful film, filmed on the old ILL soundstage as well.

"Critics Choice" is great too. They were wonderful in it, they had a great on-screen chemistry in everything they did together. You could tell they were good friends.

Yeah, I could never see Lucy and Bob having a hot love affair. They were just good friends, IMO.

Yeah they were the type of good friends that if they did try to kiss for real they would probably start cracking up laughing. That actually happened to me and a friend I grew up with. We were Seniors in HS and thought we had some feelings for each other and when we kissed, we looked at each other and busted out laughing. LOL! Needless to say, we are both married to other people, but are still the best of buds.

I'd agree with this; they seem like the friends that were just good friends and never really would want to delve any deeper than that.
