Mid 1960's "British Invasion"(1964-1969)and had top 40 hits-To start,I can think of a few-1)Bobby Vinton 2)Ronnie Dove 3)Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons,and 4)The late Gene Pitney.Know any others?Feel free to post.

The Beach Boys in fact flourished further during the British Invasion. They were dubbed "America's band", and went on to record some of the most memorable albums of their career during that time, such as 'Pet Sounds', and others.

Oddly, I'm going to say Frank Sinatra.
His career was as strong as it was in the 40's and 50's that wasn't rock-and-roll...which he objected to.
"Strangers in the Night" album went #1 in 1966...

And to finish the 60's...Sinatra recorded the song "My Way"....A song that was basically Sinatra's tune, though he objects this....
