This September, McFarlane Toys raises the dead - "The Walking Dead" - with their first assortment of 6-inch scale action figures, reports Figures via a McFarlane press release.

"The Walking Dead Comic Series 1" figure lineup includes two popular characters from the book, along with two zombie counterparts for them to fight.

OFFICER RICK GRIMES

A small-town police officer shot in the line of duty, Rick Grimes awoke from a coma to find the world overrun by zombies. Searching for his wife and son, Rick found his missing family seeking refuge in a camp of survivors on the outskirts of Atlanta.

His police background and natural leadership qualities earned him the respect of his fellow survivors, who soon looked to him as their new leader.

MICHONNE

Not long after moving into the fortress-like prison, Rick and his group of survivors were approached by a mysterious visitor from the zombie wasteland. With sword in hand, and two leashed zombies in tow, Michonne came to the prison seeking safety and shelter.

Little did she know -- it would lead to her greatest enemy. Michonne survived the horrors of Woodbury, and her fearlessness and weapon proficiency quickly earned her a place as a trusted defender of the group.

ZOMBIE LURKER

To Rick's group of survivors, there are two types of zombies.

"Roamers" are the ones that actively wander around, while "Lurkers" remain still until disturbed by a living creature.

Like a Lurker, this figure comes with a gory surprise, just waiting for a human to get too close – this zombie really has a problem keeping it together!

ZOMBIE ROAMER

The only sure way to stop a zombie in "The Walking Dead" is to destroy its brain – and this figure illustrates that important fact in gruesome detail with exploding brain play action sure to both disgust and amaze!

Daryl Dixon

An abrasive survivalist, and brother of the outspoken racist Merle, Daryl Dixon is an all-new character created specifically for the hit AMC television show.

Our figure of Daryl features the exact likeness of the actor, taken from a 3D scan of Norman Reedus himself. Figure comes with crossbow, hunting knife, fire axe, pick axe, and even a string of squirrels.

Daryl goes perfectly with the Zombie Biter figure.

Zombie Walker

This memorable Zombie Walker, clad in a dirty business suit, was encountered by Rick during his first excursion into Atlanta. Upon Rick's arrival, the walker rose from the wreckage of a city bus and followed Rick to an abandoned tank.

This figure features all the attention to detail that McFarlane Toys is known for. Plus, like all of our "The Walking Dead" zombie figures, the Zombie Walker features unique playaction for even more fun. This one includes a special wind-up feature so your Zombie Walker will actually walk!
