Matt LeBlanc has recalled an injury he sustained while shooting an episode of Friends.

The actor, who played Joey Tribbiani, was asked on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno what has been the "worst injury" he has ever received.

"It was probably not related to anything manly at all!" he said on Wednesday's show. "It was during Friends; I think it was called 'The One Where No-One's Ready', where Ross had this big thing and we all had to get ready.

"Chandler and I were fighting over a chair and I had to jump over the coffee table and land on this big down chair - the safest stunt you have ever heard of in your life!"

He went on to say that he had been practicing the stunt during rehearsals ahead of the filming, which was taking place in front of a crowd consisting of Diet Coke contest winners that had been flown in from across the country.

"It was the second scene of the night and I tripped going over the table," he continued. "My feet went up in the air and I blew my shoulder out so bad I had to go the hospital and shut the show down... Diet Coke wasn't too happy!"
