What happened to those shows on Saturday night, or is it not time for that yet? I know Alexis & Jennifer were supposed to come back then (not that I'm complaining). What on earth are they doing a special on cold treatments for?
I'm baffled about a sitcom getting a marathon...it couldn't be The Beverly Hillbillies, Hogan's Heroes, Facts of Life, Gilligan's Island, Happy Days, Bewitched, My Three Sons, Partridge Family, ALF...those have all aired at one point. Mama's Family? Designing Women? I always those would fit well.
My guess/hope is that they've finally realized that Mama's Family is a 100% perfect fit for their channel.
Pavan 02-06-2011, 06:56 PM Only hint I will give is that it is in the same time frame as all of their sitcoms minus Lucy. I am told it could be joining the line-up in March, too. I'll confirm that for the blog tomorrow.
The Sunday night 4am specials are ice skating specials sponsored by Cold-EEZE. Not sure if they will continue in March, but they are airing in February.
An 80s Guy 02-06-2011, 08:18 PM I hope it's Mama;s Family. I've been watching the first season dvd and it's so good.
Jude The Obscure 02-06-2011, 11:16 PM Now that I no longer have this channel, watch them go ahead and add Mama's Family.....
I could swear I just heard a promo for a new show coming in April but I was out of the room. The show name I thought I heard is probably out of the question, lol.
My guesses are Mama's Family, Designing Women, or maybe even Growing Pains. Whatever it is, it's from the 80s in to the very early 90s I guess.
I just saw a promo for Frasier......:(
MikeLutton 02-07-2011, 02:37 AM me to what a disappointment i thought it be something differnt that already on tv i wanted Mama's family
MikeLutton 02-07-2011, 03:00 AM hey its 2:00am Whos the boss is on cool.instead of inprov on ice
Yup, I thought I heard Frasier but figured it was out of the question. I was embarrassed to even post it lol.
Frasier is a pretty big acquisition, surprised we didn't know before now. A little different from Little House, WTB?, Lucy...is it leaving Lifetime? Would fit better on TV Land, JMO. I'm OK with the show but would rather have seen another older show.
Pavan 02-07-2011, 03:09 AM Frasier is NOT what I am talking about. Frasier is later in the year (April or so). This one is much more rare these days and started in the 80s and ran into the 90s like Who's the Boss, Cheers, and Golden Girls. Reveal tomorrow on the blog.
Pavan 02-07-2011, 03:13 AM hey its 2:00am Whos the boss is on cool.instead of inprov on ice
Who's the Boss is 2-4am Sundays and Ice specials are 4am. See the first post. We posted that already.

This one is much more rare these days and started in the 80s and ran into the 90s like Who's the Boss, Cheers, and Golden Girls. Reveal tomorrow on the blog.Yeah, I know it isn't the show you were talking about, I would rather them have just gotten another older show. Frasier is definitely April unless they change their minds since they are already promoting it.
Perfect Strangers
Night Court
Designing Women
Growing Pains
are all candidates for the first new show (doubt it's PS though). All would fit and ran from the 80s in to 90s.
TKMetal 02-07-2011, 12:16 PM It would be cool if it was something really rare like Empty Nest but my guess is Designing Women or Growing Pains.
Pavan 02-07-2011, 01:16 PM And the marathon on Saturday, Feb. 26 is.... http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/02/fox-mid-season-pilot-review-traffic.html
Jude The Obscure 02-07-2011, 01:49 PM It would be cool if it was something really rare like Empty Nest but my guess is Designing Women or Growing Pains.
turns out you were right!
Shame now that I will be missing it, but such is life.
AllegedlyRoss 02-07-2011, 02:34 PM I'm pretty pumped about Empty Nest as I am a huge fan of Golden Girls and have never seen one episode of EN. I do know Estelle became a part of the show for its final two seasons.
I am waiting for some cable channel to PLEASE bring back Maude and/or Mary Tyler Moore.

OMG, this is the best news (television related) I have heard in a long time. I just found some episodes of Empty Nest on YouTube and have been enjoying them, and realized why I missed the show. It may have not been as popular as Golden Girls, but it still is a high quality show and I remember watching it when I was a kid. I was thinking, why can't someone air this show, and now I hear this!!!! I hope Hallmark gives the show at least one full cycle before making up their minds (although I hope it does well enough to stay).
gidgetgrape 02-07-2011, 02:53 PM EMPTY NEST!! I'm so excited. I loved that show and Richard Mulligan. The entire cast was great. It's been so long since I've seen it that it'll be like watching a new show.
I love The Golden Girls, so I'll be watching Empty Nest. Not confident that it will do well for them (remember The Partridge Family) but I applaud them for trying something different. I'll be recording.
Frasier will get good timeslots I bet. TBAA from 9-11pm may be a placeholder for it.
Pavan 02-07-2011, 04:00 PM I'm pretty pumped about Empty Nest as I am a huge fan of Golden Girls and have never seen one episode of EN. I do know Estelle became a part of the show for its final two seasons.

Not sure if you get Antenna TV (check www.antennatv.tv/affiliates) , but they air Maude, Mon-Sat from 6-7pm.

Partridge was on 6am though and there were no other series like it on the schedule. Also, I am sure they will use Golden Girls and Empty Nest back-to-back, which would be smart.
They could pair Cheers and Frasier together, too.
Empty Nest is a good choice, and duh, it makes sense. I don't know why I didn't think of it myself.
I'm guessing that if/when it joins the regular schedule, they'll probably give it one of GG's hours in the morning. I don't know how they'd squeeze it in during the nighttime block.
I don't see Frasier fitting well on the channel, but we'll see how it does. Even though it's a spin-off of Cheers, it's a very different show and ultimately has a very different audience, I think. And of course it doesn't fit with any of the other shows at all.
I'm still hoping beyond hope that one day they'll try their luck with something like Family or Eight is Enough to go with LHOTP.
sijamo 02-07-2011, 06:39 PM Absolutely! I, personally, am thrilled with Frasier airing on Hallmark!!! Love, love that show. More excited than Empty Nest to be honest, but it's all just each individual's personal preference..
AllegedlyRoss 02-07-2011, 07:33 PM Not sure if you get Antenna TV (check www.antennatv.tv/affiliates) , but they air Maude, Mon-Sat from 6-7pm.
Thanks for that info, unfortunately it's not in my part of Florida yet. Hopefully it will be soon though. I miss watching "Maude." It's a shame the first season didn't sell well and others werent released.
On another topic, I wish Hallmark would buy the rights to The Golden Palace and give it a limited run like Lifetime did. Or I just wish they would release it to DVD already.
factsoflife 02-07-2011, 11:45 PM I always loved Empty Nest and am THRILLED to hear about it joining HALLMARK even if it's for a short-period only. I hope it joins the regular schedule.
I would love to see them add NURSES as well at some point. But my dream would be to see them add BLOSSOM to the line-up!

I wasn't thinking Empty Nest because it has been out of syndication for so long. I could see it maybe 8-9AM and some blocks on weekend mornings.
Cheers hasn't done great for them (hence why it airs after 1AM) so I can only see it paired with Frasier in late nights. I can see them launching it from maybe 7-9PM and 1-3AM. I think it might work...really hit or miss. I'd think it's the "biggest" show they'll have.
Pavan 02-08-2011, 03:37 AM Frasier will be officially announced tomorrow, so we should know the times. (Well, I know already, but can't tell.)
Pavan 02-08-2011, 02:32 PM Times for Frasier are announced:
http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/02/abc-mid-season-pilot-review-mr-sunshine.html
I don't see it lasting one bit. It was never the ratings monster that Friends and Seinfeld were in the 90s, and it's been pretty low-key in syndication, so who knows.
Frasier should have gone to TV Land. I think it would have done better for them and would fit better.
Hallmark would have done better going after something like The Cosby Show, Designing Women or Mama's Family. Those just seem more like their type of shows. Like JT said, Frasier hasn't been a huge hit in syndication (it's aired post-12am here since I can remember) and hasn't been huge for Lifetime.
icecream 02-08-2011, 05:23 PM Frasier airing in primetime again is nice.
tmac81s 02-08-2011, 05:48 PM I'm glad to see Empty Nest will be on, even if only a marathon. (Hopefully it joins the schedule on a regular basis.) I've missed seeing it, especially the earlier seasons with Kristy McNichol, her and Diana Manoff were funny together.
It would make sense for it to join the regular line up, since it's a spinoff of GG, Frasier is joinging and it's a spin-off of Cheers (and a lot funnier IMO). Although one thing to note about Hallmark, I've noticed they really edit their stuff for content, even little things that aren't that shocking by today's standards. When they aired the last episode of Cheers, remember Sam (Ted Danson) has that line at the end, "I'm the luckiest son of a bi*** in the world." When Hallmark aired it, they edited out the b-word and you hear him say "I'm the luckiest son in the world." It wasn't bleeped out, or muted out, they cut and paste the words so it sounded like it was just said that way....but it was quite obvious that it didn't synch up with his lips!
I also remember something like that happening on "Who's the Boss," can't remember what it was or what episode, I just remember thinking it was so funny cause this is from something that aired over 20 years ago!
I agree with some of the other posters, I'd love to see Perfect Strangers, Designing Women and Mama's Family back again. (And what of the Carol Burnett Show or even the syndicated versions "Carol Burnett and Friends?")
I think there is a lot of room on some of the other networks to add some different shows. For those like me with digital cable or satellite, you may notice that some shows air on three or four different networks!

browneyes106 02-18-2011, 05:00 PM It will be good to see Empty Nest back on TV. I liked the later seasons more.
factsoflife 02-18-2011, 07:01 PM It will be good to see Empty Nest back on TV. I liked the later seasons more.
I liked all the seasons; but my overall favorite episodes were any episodes focused on Nurse Laverne. Park Overall was a freaking hoot.
Family Ties Forever! 02-18-2011, 10:55 PM That's cool that Empty Nest will be on Hallmark. It's been a long time since I've seen that show.
I see Frasier is leaving Lifetime in March and will move to Hallmark in April.
"Monday, April 4, airing Monday-Friday from 9:00-11:00 pm ET/PT"
Rezny@gmail.com 02-18-2011, 11:29 PM I'm glad that The Hallmark Channel is going to air "Empty Nest".And I hope they air it at a DECENT HOUR-not in the wee hours of the morning, but following "The Golden Girls"block,at 10/9AM Central. And I hope it does EXTREMELY well in the ratings.
factsoflife 02-19-2011, 12:18 AM I just hope that Hallmark is patient with the show (Empty Nest) and gives it time to develop a following.
AllegedlyRoss 02-20-2011, 01:29 AM So is Empty Nest just a marathon or does it have a time slot yet?
Pavan 02-21-2011, 03:02 PM UPDATED March 2011 schedule and marathons (and Empty Nest status):
http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/02/hallmark-channel-march-2011-marathons.html
Hallmark Channel is now encoring the HOME block from 6PM-11PM on Monday nights.
Watched Empty Nest....wasn't extremely impressed. JMO.

Agreed... I commend Hallmark for giving rarely seen shows a chance but I did not enjoy Empty Nest. A little too corny and bland for me.
Pavan 03-02-2011, 12:47 PM Empty Nest joins the schedule on March 8:
http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/03/empty-nest-joins-regular-hallmark.html
I wonder why they're getting rid of WTB? in a decent time... :( I'd rather see it than Empty Nest (I do want to see Empty Nest with Estelle Getty, though).

Yeah, I agree. How good were the ratings of the Empty Nest marathon this past weekend that it could essentially boot Who's the Boss from it's weekday slot.
It doesn't feel all that long ago when they added that extra hour of airings for WTB and now nothing besides 4-6AM...Talk about a turnaround.

I don't see how it can hold up in the afternoon like that....but then again, I expected WTB to flop and look how well it's apparently done. LHOTP continues to do great for them after all of these years.
They are already promoting Frasier's 9PM timeslot starting next month. Looks like they have high expectations for it.
Pavan 03-03-2011, 01:34 AM Perhaps they are running low on plays on Who's the Boss? It has aired a lot since it joined the line-up... I know it does well for them.
Empty Nest marathon did decent for them. The range was 282,000 to 667,000 viewers. High was at 5p ET for the pilot. That was similar to the Touched by an Angel marathon the previous Saturday that ranged from 281,000 to 805,000 viewers, with the 10pm episode the highest.

It's nothing official, but it looks like they are hinting The Waltons may be coming soon according to their Facebook page (Hallmark has a movie starring Richard Thomas coming up soon).
chris31989 03-03-2011, 07:26 PM Why in the world can't Hallmark (as well as the bulk of cable stations these days) make room for all the shows they have and air them in 1 hour blocks instead of these three or four hour blocks (which is actually a mini-marathon). I don't look forward to marathons much with these shows because we basically see marathons daily of these shows. Same with TVLAND, they can't include a bit more variety?? There's no doubt in my mind that if Hallmark wanted they could fit in Who's the Boss, Empty Nest, Touched by an Angel, Little House, and The Golden Girls in to the 3-9PM block. I'm sick of them dropping a show to only put another show on for 3 hours where the dropped show could have recieved one hour on the schedule. I'm really happy about Empty Nest though. I've waited for a network to air it for years, so I won't complain much more.
icecream 03-03-2011, 08:53 PM This would be a nice schedule for April.
6-11AM Martha's crap
11AM-12PM The Golden Girls
12-1PM Empty Nest
1-2PM Who's the Boss?
2-3PM I Love Lucy
3-4PM M*A*S*H
4-5PM 7th Heaven
5-7PM Little House on the Prairie
7-9PM Touched by an Angel
9-11PM Frasier
11PM-1AM The Golden Girls
1-2AM Empty Nest
2-3AM Frasier
3-5AM Cheers
5-6AM Who's the Boss?
Does Hallmark ever plan on airing M*A*S*H and 7th Heaven again or have they expired? I know they said they would bring back M*A*S*H at some point but it seems like they didn't mean it.
Pavan 03-04-2011, 12:24 AM I would do this for April
Weekdays
6am-7am The Partridge Family
7am-9am I Love Lucy (two hours)
9am-10am Frasier (encore of hour one at 9pm)
10am-3pm Martha at Home
3pm Little House on the Prairie
4pm-6pm Who's the Boss? (two hours)
6pm-7pm The Golden Girls
7pm Little House on the Prairie
8pm Touched by an Angel
9pm-11pm Frasier (two hours)
11pm-1am The Golden Girls (two hours)
1am-3am Empty Nest (two hours)
3am-5am Cheers (two hours)
5am-6am Frasier (encore of hour two from 10pm)
Weekends
6am-8am I Love Lucy
8am-10am The Golden Girls
10am-11am Empty Nest
11am-12pm Cheers
12pm-1pm Who's the Boss?
1pm-11pm Movies
11pm-12am Frasier
12am-1am The Golden Girls
1am-2am Empty Nest
2am-4am Who's the Boss?
4am-6am Cheers
(trying to cut the movies a bit)
DSfan 03-04-2011, 01:45 AM If I were them I'd do this (not going to add Patridge etc that they aren't currently scheduling, just going off the shows they're actually airing):
6-7AM:I Love Lucy
7-8AM:Who's the Boss
8-9AM:Golden Girls
9-10AM:Empty Nest
10AM-3PM: Martha stuff (is it mandated to be at these hours by the way?)
3-4PM:Little House
4-5PM:Little House
5-6PM:Little House
6-7PM:Touched by an Angel
7-8PM:Touched by an Angel
8-9PM:Touched by an Angel
9-10PM:Frasier
10-11PM:Frasier
11-MIDNIGHT: Cheers (honestly, Cheers after Frasier. How can they not be doing this?)
Weakness of this schedule is Golden Girls, which prob does well for them, doesn't get much play but I wanted to go from Hallmark's thinking and 3x for Little House and TBAA tendencies. They should pair up Empty Nest out of Golden Girls though. Even if it does well on its own in the afternoon, I doubt it'll do better than it would coming out of Golden Girls. Their schedule is a little bit choppy I find where people watching one show aren't sticking around for the next one.
Jude The Obscure 03-04-2011, 12:36 PM It's nothing official, but it looks like they are hinting The Waltons may be coming soon according to their Facebook page (Hallmark has a movie starring Richard Thomas coming up soon).
That would be a return of that show to Hallmark, albeit in a new deal if it happens. It would give the show more exposure than INSP can give it, for sure.
Looks like Waltons returns on Monday, 3/21. They haven't given the times yet.
Pavan 03-10-2011, 01:28 PM Still don't see The Waltons scheduled. They sent out April yesterday, too, and it isn't on there either. April will have some changes, but I am holding off on that until we see The Waltons. It even has Empty Nest moving already. And that was before it started airing, so I will hold off on it for the next few days. Hopefuly by Monday I will post April.

They looked to be tying it in to the new Richard Thomas movie.
I wonder if ISPN will lose it...
Pavan 03-11-2011, 03:30 PM INSP is not losing it. It has been acquired, but not scheduled as of 2:30pm ET Friday.

chris31989 03-14-2011, 04:20 PM I REALLY, REALLY hope this network is not already giving up on "Empty Nest". Maybe people aren't watching because of the 3-5PM slot and the first season is being aired, which many saw during the marathon. They couldn't air this for an hour in the evening with the Golden Girls just to see how it does? Their way of scheduling is nuts. They overplay some shows and push others to the side. I guess that's the way it's done these days.
icecream 03-14-2011, 05:00 PM I like this schedule. It's nice that Touched by an Angel gets an afternoon slot, Frasier gets a lot of exposure, and The Golden Girls finally loses its 11-1 slot.
retrofan05 03-14-2011, 05:10 PM Love The Golden Girls at 6 and 7 PM! Now I no longer have to choose between it and The Nanny at 11. LOL. But, what happened to Who's The Boss? Apparently it wasn't doing that well.

The schedule was made BEFORE Empty Nest premiered on Tuesday, as stated in the blog story. http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/03/hallmark-channel-april-2011-has-frasier.html

I don't think it had to with ratings. It was airing so much that they could be resting its plays.

Once again, Im new to the site and I love it. With me being the new guy and all, I hope I dont overstep but one thing that bothers the hell out of me with the Hallmark Channel is that there always moving shows around, or cancelling shows and then bringing them back. Why cant they leave well enough alone? They should add shows to the channel and not have movies. They already have Hallmark Movie Channel.
I mean take I Love Lucy for example. It was on, then they took it off, then they had a marathon and then it was off again. Now its back on. Maybe I'm in the minority but I could care less about Martha Stewart and all those crappy shows that come with it. Who cares about Petkeeping? Thats what Animal Planet is for. I mean, I'll be reasonable. They could keep the Martha Stewart Show and the "Whatever..." talk show. Its just my opinion.

My only complaint is no WTB. Empty Nest didn't impress me at all, not surprised it got bumped like that.
Nice schedule....but why not air The Waltons?!?
sijamo 03-14-2011, 10:41 PM It's prob just me, but I love the new schedule. I don't love Golden Girls but LOVE, LOVE Frasier so this suits me very well! Also a huge fan of LHOP and Lucy and Cheers so I will be spending quite a bit of time with Hallmark in april! Tried Empty Nest but was a bit bored with it. This could change with the addition of the Waltons (ugh, which I hate, was sorry they re-acquired it), so it probably will change quickly.

Nice schedule....but why not air The Waltons?!?
As I stated, Empty Nest moving has nothing to do with its ratings. I expect changes to occur to this schedule before April 3 starts. Empty Nest is doing well.
And I stated on the blog about The Waltons. It's coming...
Waltons launch 3/21 at 3:00PM and 4:00PM weekdays
mets82 03-15-2011, 08:15 PM Wait a minute, Empty Nest is off the air already??!!!:o See, thats why sometimes Hallmark Channel annoys me. As soon as you watch a show and get used to it, they switch around or get rid of it. Btw, why cant they get rid of all that Martha Stewart crap. Did she secretly by the network or something?
Pavan 03-15-2011, 08:39 PM Let's wait until we announce the full schedule before any assumptions are made. I already stated Empty Nest is doing well.

Are you kidding me? Damn it!!! You know its just the principal of the whole thing. Frasier, Cheers, The Golden Girls has been on for yrs. and Empty Nest hasnt been on in a decade and EMPTY NEST gets dumped??!!! I mean get rid of that Martha Stewart crap!!!
eng51squad51 03-15-2011, 09:40 PM Hallmark Channel Facebook page has annouce the times for the waltons return they will be on from 3:00pm to 5:00pm
also Gospal Music Channel will also show the Waltons start april 3rd with all day marathon.they are airing commercial to promote it.

Yet again, as I have said many times already (on the blog AND here...does anyone read??), that April schedule is going to change. First, it doesn't have The Waltons. And second, the schedule was made BEFORE Empty Nest premiered on March 8...and it is doing well in the ratings. So relax.
This is why I shouldn't have posted it (but I'm sure someone here would have found it on Hallmark's website, if it goes that far). Because all it is, was a generic schedule.
Penny Lane 03-16-2011, 04:06 AM I don't care for Touched By An Angel. But it is good to see Empty Nest again. I always liked that show. I wish that Hallmark would put in their regular lineup Mama's Family, Family, 8 Is Enough, Alice, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and Here Come The Brides. As much as I like Golden Girls Hallmark way over does it IMO. I am actually tired of it! Quit running so many episodes and vary the programming. Please!:)

I have the entire Waltons series on dvd so I don't really care if it comes back on or not. But I guess I would still watch it if it does!:happyface
How on earth are 3 channels going to show The Waltons? A 3-way deal isn't that common...only time I can remember in recent times is 7th Heaven.

I guess they will have diffrent times for the show.
like INSP show the Waltons at 1pm & 8pm
now Hallmark channel show The waltons at 3:00pm to 5:00pm**
**Start March 21,2011
and Gospal Music channel show The Waltons at TBA*
*All day Marahon start April 3rd. :)
Pavan 03-17-2011, 12:23 PM More on The Waltons and a preview of the changes to come in April:
http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/03/hallmark-channel-gmc-acquire-waltons.html
icecream 03-17-2011, 01:43 PM With The Golden Girls now staying at 11 I'm guessing Touched by an Angel will get the 7-9 slots with The Waltons and Little House staying where they are. Cheers would likely be banished to 3AM. It could still air before Frasier but I don't think they want it in prime. Of course we could get a total surprise. There's some shows not currently airing that could return: Who's the Boss, M*A*S*H, 7th Heaven (would fit good with their other dramas), The Partridge Family, and Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures (the last two are a longshot though). Maybe Lucy will get a better slot with the attention it's been getting. At least the Monday night Martha block is removed, now if only it would be cut back in the daytime. By the way, none of what I said is official, just my thoughts on the matter.
Pavan 03-17-2011, 02:21 PM I'm not sure, but I think Who's the Boss? is expiring. It might have been a one-year deal, but I am checking.

I'm not sure, but I think Who's the Boss? is expiring. It might have been a one-year deal, but I am checking.Huh? I thought it was doing well, it certainly seemed it. If that's the case and they don't renew it, that will be the most baffling thing they have ever done.
Do they even have 7th Heaven and M*A*S*H anymore? I feel that we will never see those again....the afternoon hours, where they liked to air those, are now Martha until 3PM then the Little House/Waltons type stuff which has always done well. They may still have MASH but I'd be shocked if they still have 7th unless the deal was long, it never seemed to do well. Usually if a show is gone from Hallmark for more than a few months, it never comes back.

I think it's a little too much to air The Golden Girls from 7-9PM then 11-1AM again. If it's true I HATE they let WTB? expire. I guess it wasn't doing very well for them
Funny that TBAA can go from airing in primetime to not airing at all.
I like that I Love Lucy got a nice primetime block in the weekend sitcom marathon....seems like it does well for them on the weekends.
icecream 03-21-2011, 02:47 PM That sucks losing the Touched by an Angel marathon. Once again they're starting with overkill of The Golden Girls. At least there's the all day Frasier marathon and I Love Lucy gets a nice place in the sitcoms marathon. Maybe ILL could regularly air then on Sunday nights.
chris31989 03-21-2011, 02:51 PM I still think that the programming dept. at Hallmark is just lazy with these two hour blocks of programming. There is no reason why every show can't be shown at decent times. Cheers and Empty Nest are good enough to be shown during the evening. They are also killing us with too much Golden Girls. As much as I love the show, Hallmark relies on it too much and it gets tiring to see it everytime we turn the network on.
Pavan 03-21-2011, 03:02 PM If it's true I HATE they let WTB? expire. I guess it wasn't doing very well for them.
It's not always low ratings if something isn't renewed. I know it was doing well, trying to find out if they lost rights and are in negotiations to renew.
I guess they are trying to give the best possible exposure to Frasier, sandwiching it in between Golden Girls blocks.

ekkostar 03-27-2011, 10:41 PM So much for Empty Nest, it's on in no man's land. I was wondering why I never saw it during the daytime.
mets82 03-27-2011, 11:12 PM There goes Empty Nest. I believe I posted something like this before. Thats why its frustrating watching the Hallmark Channel. Everytime you watch something, you get used to it in one spot and then they switch it around or take it off the air. I mean do we really need all that Martha Stewart crap on which takes up a lot of the day???!!!

Guys! PAV has been pretty clear that this schedule was made BEFORE "Empty Nest" joined the regular schedule and that EN is likely to return to the evening next month.
Pavan 03-27-2011, 11:35 PM Not sure how much more clear I can be, Empty Nest is back NEXT WEEK:

mets82 03-28-2011, 12:13 AM I just read the link that Pavan had about Empty Nest coming back. I had actually forgot that they were coming back.
icecream 03-31-2011, 05:01 PM Moving The Golden Girls to 3AM is a surprise, they'll probably be encores of the 11PM episodes. The Waltons and Little House are good shows but we didn't need three hours each. They could have aired Touched by an Angel from 3-5, The Waltons from 5-7, and Little House on the Prairie from 7-9.
Jude The Obscure 03-31-2011, 09:53 PM Makes me glad I gave up extended cable...cause I sure don't miss the circus known as The Hallmark Channel.
mets82 05-28-2011, 11:58 AM Just saw Empty Nest on this morning. My question is are they going to move the show to a reasonable time. I mean when the show is on, its on in the middle of the night. I wish they would give Empty Nest some much love and put it on during the day or at night.
icecream 05-31-2011, 11:51 PM Hallmark is now airing the Frasier ending credits in full. (at least they were Monday night) They must have gotten a lot of complaints about the credits being crunched. :D
It looks like Frasier is a hit for Hallmark. I hate losing the Girls in the 11PM hour, though. :(
Effective June 20, Golden Girls return at 8am. No word on other changes.
ekkostar 06-16-2011, 10:11 AM I've been hearing that there's no reason to bother with Frasier on Hallmark, most of the episodes have been extremely edited. Apparently We is rerunning it as well right now as well.
MRPITT 06-16-2011, 10:32 AM Yes Hallmark does heavy editing more then WE and much more then the Local here in L.A. If not for the fact that Empty Nest and previously Who's The Boss was not on another channel I wouldnt watch Hallmark.

Is it being heavily edited for extra commercial time or for content? That's a shame that Hallmark is editing the show.

Being it's a Cable Channel, most likey it's to stuff in :( :eek4:  :angryfire MORE COMMERCIALS :angryfire  :eek4: :(
LUNCH 06-17-2011, 11:29 AM Regulus is right. The only reason shows are heavily edited on most commercial tv stations is to put in more commercials.Commercials,(I would think) no reasonably intelligent person even watches anymore.--Why else would they edit the shows. I tried recording an episode of 'The Waltons' off of Hallmark.Over 10 minutes of the original show were cut out. They don't even play the full opening theme song, just some sped up version.
tiredmike59 06-17-2011, 11:35 AM Hallmark sucks.
So do their greeting cards.
