What exactly was the origin of Bam Bam Rubble?

He was an orphan. He was living in an orphanage but the people working there didn't know how to handle his enormous strength. So they put him in a basket with a note explaining his name was Bamm Bamm. Barney and Betty found the basket and took him in.

Ever notice how the Rubbles were the opposite of the Flintstones in so many ways? This was one of them. The Flintstones had a girl, the Rubbles had a boy. The Flintstones sired their own child, the Rubbles adopted.

In "The Flinstones Movie"...it was said that Bamm Bamm was raised by Mastadons.

And like the movie, Elizabeth (E.G.) Daily voices Bamm Bamm in the Pebbles Commercials.
