"Arrested Development" Movie in 2011?

Could the mythical "Arrested Development" movie get off the ground and make it to a theater near you this year? That's what creator Mitch Hurwitz seems to think.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Hurwitz said the movie plans are in motion.

"We've started that process and it is our sincere hope to shoot it this year and get it out this year," Hurwitz said. "That's what we're hoping, but a lot of things have to fall into place for that to happen."

...after years of telling anyone who'll listen that he didn't want to produce a movie sequel, Hurwitz "suddenly" decides he wants to film one ASAP this year?

Well, if he does, lots of luck in finding a mass audience to pay to see it! Only three to five million viewers (on average) ever bothered to watch the TV series each week...and that's hardly enough to guarantee a successful theatrical film.

I honestly don't believe this movie will ever be made! Mitch Hurwitz is already laying the groundwork to make excuses when this project falls apart. He can then claim that all those things that needed to fall into place didn't..
