OH Nuts!

My glucose has improved! Just had an A 1 C test (measures average blood glucose over the last 2-3 months )and mine is almost normal now. 5.7 -- its the first time in at least 4 years its been below 6

I credit Weight Watchers & really working hard to eat right and take a lot of weight off. I've lost about 35 lbs. and am at my correct weight. I can actually wear 32 inch pants - the first time in 25 years!

Also just a quick apology if I ever get (or have gotten) too Church Lady about fast food and McDonald's Burger King etc. But sadly, that kind of food is often not good for us middle aged folk and its the WORST kind of food I can eat. Even youngsters shouldn't eat it as a matter of course.

I love my new lifestyle and I'm making a vow to stay with it!

Rich, this is just terrific news! It took a while, but as the saying goes; you didn't get there overnight, and you don't take it off overnight. You sound very happy, and I'm so happy for you. I know it's been difficult for you. You're a dedicated and diligent person with a lot of willpower. From the sounds of it, you got great results!

You have a lot to be proud of, Rich. I know it's not easy. My husband, as you know, is a diabetic. He just lost 25 pounds himself. He looks and feels so healthy. Cheers to you both. Diet soda, of course.

I haven't eaten fast food in years. And no soda either. I don't miss it.

Diet Hansen Root Beer (or diet pomegranate) from Trader Joes!!!

That's great Lou lost 25 lbs. Bet he has a lot more energy too - that was one of the first things I noticed when I got to the 25 lb mark.
