DID live up to the promise of their pilot, and which DID NOT? My choices are-DID live up to the promise of their pilot- 1)NBC's version of "Matlock"DID live up to the promise of the pilot film made-for-TV movie "Diary of a Perfect Murder" ABC's version, however, was a bit threadbare, and didn't. 2)"The Addams Family"-the ABC 1964-1966 series DID live up to the promise of director Arthur Hiller's"The Addams Family Goes To School",because in subsequent episodes from seasons one and two,the characters were just as bizarre, nutty, and likable as in the pilot. 3)"Green Acres"-up until the last season, the show DID live up to the promise of the pilot. In the last season,it veered off into other directions.Know of any others?Feel free to post. Now as for those series that DID NOT live up to the promise of their pilots- 1)The short-lived NBC Sunday Mystery Movie "Lanigan's Rabbi" with the late Art Carney did NOT live up to the promise of the Universal TV pilot film of the same name, and 2)the also short-lived NBC Mystery Movie "McCoy"with the late Tony Curtis did NOT live up to the promise of the Universal TV pilot,"The Big Rip-Off",a comedy-drama that was sort of a TV version of the Universal film "The Sting".Know of any other shows that did NOT live up to the promise of their pilot?Again, feel free to post.

i really dont think community has lived up to its pilot in spite of the shows cult following the pilot was laugh out loud funny but in subsequent eps it seemes like the writers at least last season seemed to be doing the show more for themselves instead of the viewers this season i have only caught a few eps but i really didnt like what i saw ether
