The delightful old lady Jane Morgan (as Miss Brook's neighbor) has to be one of the most unsung supporting actresses in sitcom history. She was a riot on this show but nobody ever mentions her. I've only seen a handful of OMB episodes but Miss Jane steals every scene she's in. I was surprised there wasn't already a thread in tribute to this great old character actress, well let's start one now.

Mrs. Davis was a great character and had some of the funniest lines on the show. I loved her scenes with Miss Brooks (Eve Arden).

...on both the radio and TV editions of the show (and most of the TV scripts were adapted from the original radio episodes). She had plenty of experience working with Eve and the cast, and knew how to deliver funny lines....

In a cast that included some very good actors (Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Richard Crenna) in very comical roles, Jane Morgan as Margaret Davis the landlady, was right up there. Some of her outspoken comments are basically as "in" now as when the series was made over 50 years ago.

I think she's great too. When I revisited some of the OMB eps on youtube, I could remember her very distinctive voice from when I saw the show as a kid.
