Rezny@gmail.com 01-28-2011, 01:16 AM 1)"Hazel"-(NBC to CBS)It was good on NBC,but despite some good episodes on CBS,left a lot to be desired when they networks. 2-"Get Smart"-(NBC to CBS)-This show was fun on NBC,but not so fun on CBS. 3-"Matlock"-(NBC to ABC)NBC-Great theme, good drama, well cast, and sorta fun.ABC-A big letdown from the NBC glory days. Not as good, nor as fun and a bit threadbare-Know of any other shows that suffered when they switched networks?
Zoneboy 01-28-2011, 01:21 AM I can't think of a single show that didn't suffer when it switched networks.
I can't think of a single show that didn't suffer when it switched networks.Leave It to Beaver went from CBS to ABC after the first season where it enjoyed a long run from '58-'63.

That would be an exception.
That would be an exception.Actually, that's the only exception I can think of.
comedyfreak 01-28-2011, 06:54 AM Medium-NBC to CBS only lasted a season and a half then cancelled.
Family Matters-ABC to CBS for it's tenth and last season no more Jo Marie.
Step By Step-ABC to CBS for it's final season.
MickeyMac 01-28-2011, 01:37 PM Father Knows Best would be another exception. They switched networks and did alright.
old grouch 01-28-2011, 02:17 PM 'My Three Sons' is another exception. It switched from ABC to CBS and ran for seven more years.
catlover79 01-28-2011, 04:59 PM When CBS cancelled what had been the longest-running TV soap opera at that time, Search For Tomorrow, to make room on its schedule for the glamourous new soap, Capitol, the ratings were still very good. NBC picked up SFT in 1982, where the ratings were virtually cut in half. The show ran from March 1982 to December 1986 on NBC, where the ratings never recovered. It was in last place every one of those years except 1984 - Edge of Night was in the ratings basement and would be cancelled before the year was out.
Back over at CBS, for all its hype and glamour, Capitol only lasted 5 years on the air. It was replaced by The Bold & The Beautiful, which is still going strong to this day.
megamanj2004 02-26-2011, 05:07 AM The Hogan Family - moved from NBC to CBS. The show was a bit tired by the time it moved to CBS. Plus, CBS treated THF no better than NBC did in its final year with them airing only 13 episodes on CBS.
TJ Hooker - this show was never a runaway hit, but the final season on CBS (it originated on ABC from March 1982 - 1985) just looked silly wihtout Adrien Zmed who left the show before it moved to CBS.
Diff'rent Strokes - the show was slumping further by 1984 and was gone from NBC by 1985. The move to ABC in the fall of 1985 took DS to new HIGH-lows in the ratings. The marriage of Mr. D and Maggie and the addition of Sam ruined DS even further and the network switch, set change, and theme update made matters worse.
Regulus 03-04-2011, 06:19 AM JAG spent a single year on NBC, but lived for nine years on CBS.
Babewatch-OOPs! I mean Baywatch! also spent one year on NBC, but THRIVED for ten additional years in Syndication
Disneyland/Walt Disney Presents began on ABC in 1954, but moved to NBC in 1961 to take advantage of the Peacock's ability to broadcast in color. The tile was changed (Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color and later The Wonderful World of Disney), and the show remained on NBC for 20 years, before jumping networks several more times.
The $10,000 Pyramid -- was on CBS from 1973 to 1974 then moved to ABC where it ran for six years (then returned to TV in 1982 on CBS, who kept it that time).
megamanj2004 03-27-2011, 04:02 PM The PJ's - 1st ran on FOX, then went to the WB.
The Critic - started on ABC, then moved to FOX.
The Bionic Woman - started with ABC, then defected to NBC.
Wonder Woman - aired 1st on ABC, then went to CBS.

Step By Step-ABC to CBS for it's final season.
I did like the final season of Step By Step even though Lily was annoying but I hated that Jo Marie wasn't on Family Matters.
Dr. Thong 03-27-2011, 08:13 PM Taxi - cancelled by ABC in 1982 and picked up by NBC, only to be cancelled after one season in 1983.
