Charlie Sheen was hospitalized on Thursday morning, taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. TMZ reports Sheen was taken from his house on a stretcher.

"Two young women exited the house at the same time Charlie was taken out with a towel partially over his face," TMZ writes. A 911 call was placed at 6:35 AM.

Sheen was hospitalized in October 2010 at the tail-end of a night with adult film star Capri Anderson. Authorities found Sheen drunk and naked, having badly damaged his surroundings in a fit of rage.

TMZ's sources say the 45-year-old 'Two and a Half Men' star had severe abdominal pains leading to the hospital visits. Sheen's publicist Stan Rosenfield tells TMZ Sheen was sleeping in the ER on Thursday morning.

Charlie Sheen Released from Hospital

Charlie Sheen has been released from the hospital and is now resting at home, his rep tells TVGuide.com.

"Charlie Sheen left the hospital last night [Thursday] and is at home," Stan Rosenfield said. "He will be on the set of 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday."

Sheen, 45, was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles Thursday morning with what his rep described as "severe abdominal pains."
The actor told a source quoted by "Extra": "I'm not dying."

His friend, Steve Brodersen, told the TV newsmagazine Sheen's abdominal pain was the result of a hernia injury, made worse when Sheen laughed too hard at the TV.

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stars Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and Dr. Paul Nassif, who are friends and neighbors of Sheen, told People they received a call from the actor's home Thursday morning.

"We did receive a call from Charlie's house this morning, asking for medical assistance and advice and immediately insisted the caller dial 911," the couple told the magazine in a statement.

"Dr. Nassif also immediately called 911. ... As longtime friends, we are obviously very concerned about his well-being."

Another unnamed friend told People:

"He doesn't think he's going to die. He doesn't want to stop. In his eyes, he thinks, 'I'm having fun, so what? I'm making $2 million a week, the show has the best ratings, I show up for up work. What's the problem?'"

Sheen's ex-wife, Denise Richards, tweeted late Thursday, "Thank you so much for you kind and supportive messages ... it means a lot ..."

I'm not buying this hernia story - at all. If Charlie doesn't shape up, he'll be another statistic before too long.
