Nancy Travis will appear in an upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Travis will play Allison, a patient in Derek's Alzheimer's clinical trial. Her 10-year-old son takes more care of her than the other way around, which will make Dr. Stark (Peter MacNicol) insist that Social Services be contacted.


The 49-year-old actress is best known for her film roles in So I Married an Axe Murderer and 3 Men and a Baby. More recently, Travis starred in The Bill Engvall Show and appeared on Desperate Housewives.
