Give up?:It was the people of Virginia.(The historians,that is)who won.Wal-Mart DIDN'T,and decided to build elsewhere.And according to an article in the Lincoln,Nebraska Lincoln-Journal Star(and I presume OTHER newspapers around the U.S.)the company did something it does not do a lot of:Heeded late founder Sam Walton's advice:Wal-Mart should never build a store where it isn't wanted.So no Wal-Mart in Orange,Virginia.

So the peeps in Orange, Virginia like spending more at the local stores--more power to them. :confused:
