I certainly don't, but I had this little conversation with another classic tv fan and they insist as good as the episode was, it was a bit mean how the characters dealt with the death. My question, was it in any way "mean?"

Actually, I thought that the way that they dealt with the death was more realistic than some other shows would try to pull it off. Most people feel morbid or uneasy when it comes to death and its human to find a way to laugh off things that bother us. Also at the funeral when Mary is laughing, that has actually happened to me, I laugh when I feel nervous or awkward.
