his 9-year run as host of the original "The Price is Right"(1956-1963 NBC and 1963-1965 ABC)which were your favorites?I liked his1)1966-1969 NBC game show "Eye Guess" 2)His 1971-1974 NBC show "Three on a Match",3)The 1974 -1975 NBC show(that is,before they changed the rules, then it went downhill)"Winning Streak"4)The regrettably short-lived 1980 NBC game he did called "Chain Reaction" (after the change in the bonus game,,it was great-his first from Los Angeles),and the 1980-1982 Los Angeles-based NBC game "Blockbusters".The rest of them were so-so,"Pass the Buck"wasn't bad,but I did not care for "Blankety Blanks"or "Hot Potato".

The two post Price is Right game shows that were hosted by Bill Cullen that I really like were Eye Guess and Blockbusters. Blockbusters was a very good show that would have had a longer run if didn't replace the ill-fated David Letterman talk show and more affiliates wouldn't have blacked it out for syndicated talk shows.

And I liked Bill Cullen's version of "Blockbusters"(also Los-Angeles Based like NBC's 1980 version of "Chain Reaction"),FAR better than the short-lived 1987 version with Bill Rafferty(what became of him?).

From what I've seen on YouTube and watching GSN occasionally when I visit my grandparents (they've got that channel on 24/7), I really liked Child's Play. Who can resist those little kids with their cute answers.

Bill was one of those hosts that kept working, like Wink Martindale and Tom Kennedy, but just couldn't get the hit show that runs a long time. He did host more shows than anyone else, a total of 23 I believe. His post TPIR shows that I liked were The $25,000 Pyramid, Chain Reaction, Blockbusters and Child's Play. He took over of host of The Joker's Wild after Jack Barry died. Pyramid was a once-a-week nighttime version of the daytime show.
Winning Streak kept changing the format too often for me to enjoy it. Someone told me they had to stop tape during a taping of WS because Bill didn't understand the rules, because they changed it so often. That says something, not necessarily Cullen's fault.
Cullen's longest TV runs were not as a host, but as a panelist. He was on I've Got a Secret from 1952 - 1967 and on To Tell The Truth from 1969 - 1978. A total of 24 years. Not bad for sitting behind a panel desk and asking questions.

Pass the Buck should have ran a lot longer. I think that show would work great if they revived it.

As far as hosting, I remember him from The $25,000 Pyramid.
But mainly I remember his being on the panel of To Tell The Truth. "You're gonna have to tell the truth!"

I believed Blockbusters was Bill Cullen’s very best game show that he ever hosted because it was filmed in Los Angeles.

Blockbusters is good. I would like to see his $25,000 Pyramid and Chain Reaction.
