He was offered the role and accepted the role of Carlton the doorman but before filming dropped out! Anybody know why? Are you glad he did quit?

I didn't realize Foster Brooks ever had the role. Foster Brooks was famous for playing drunks (which Carlton was) but for me Lorenzo Music will always be Carlton!

I can't imagine hearing any other voice for Carlton!

That's why the Garfield movies weren't as good as the specials/TV series, Lorenzo had such a unique voice that you can't imagine anyone else doing Garfield or Carlton.
